Yeah they shouldn't even be considered assets considering we would have to actually give up more to get rid of contracts like Leonards and turners

I don't want to give up first to get cap space we would do nothing with anyway.

It makes sense if you are creating space to sign players but we wouldn't be, it would be just to save money.

Nope wrong, the new year starts on July 1st after the draft. Besides we couldn't offer the #7 pick.

Marc Stein says nearly 20 teams interested in Rodney Hood.

100% agree. I don't understand fans excited about helping paul save $$$.
I understand the tax implications. Just no interest in losing a pick to save Neil and Paul from their mistakes

Would you do Leonard and a 1st for Bradley?

And how exactly do you know that? You really believe that everything that is happening amongst GMs is portrayed in rumors?

So we get a SF who can shoot. Randle is a guy you won't want coming at you so most defenders don't sag far off of him. Give him space and he'll slice you up.

Green has a player option for next season, Leonard has 2 years remaining. Green is easily playable. Leonard...

These two offers are very very different, and often lead to fans pissed at the deadline that WE didn't do a deal that another team did, as if they were similar assets.

    Hell NO.

Bradley will be a UFA in the summer. And there is no way we pay him the 8 figure salary he would want as our third guard, so he'd definitely be a rental. I'd rather keep our pick.

Randle and Hood are RFAs and fill positional (and skill) needs for our team. I have no hesitation in giving up our picks for them. Bradely for a 25 game rental? No thank you.

I can see us trying to acquire Randle for sure, even if it means giving up Davis.

DEN willing to give up a 1st for someone to take Faried. Now maybe we could get them to take one of our shit contracts but not give us a first (and at least we aren't giving up a first either to get rid of a albatross).

Leonard and Layman for Faried works.

I assume they want to give up 1st in order to shed Faried's salary, not take someone who is even worse, even if that's without the terrible deal. They'd need to get expirings from us - for example Napier and Davis?

I can already picture Neil’s phone interview at 12:05 when he talks about “asset retention” or whatever other buzzwords he has lined up and I want to vomit.

But I also don’t want to make a stupid trade.

It’s almost a lose lose situation. The only surprise would be if he did something that actually improved the roster.
