    Oh, absolutely. And I'd be shocked if they did sign someone, because even a vet min deal would put them back in the tax.

    Tax level is at $119.2M, and I think we are approximately $0.5M below that. Portland could probably sign 2 rookie FA to minimum contracts (out of the G-League) without going into the tax.

    Baldwin IV will likely be signed for the remainder of the year. MAYBE one more FA... More likely is we'll sign someone else to a 2-way contract to replace Baldwin IV.

    I still don't understand why people say Neil doesn't make moves. He turned RHJ and Steve Blake into Nurkic/Collins/Connaughton. He's a fucking genius.

    You are right on with many of these points...However, this deadline is just a prime example of how completely f'd up this roster is and how painful the next several years will be!
