    Who's the political statement on? Every country except the one he represents?

    If he stood for every team, but the article singles out North Korea then it isn't a political statement on North Korea. Even if it is a statement on North Korea, who gives a fuck, they are goading us with Nukes, the Olympics are useless anyways. Fuck their athletes.

    I'm a leftist as they come, but I'm going to side with the rightwingers here. The move didn't bother me in any way. I know the Olympic spirit is supposed to leave politics outside of the door, but it's not a big deal. I have much more of a problem with Pence's domestic policy ideas. I can dislike him for that all I want, but I'm not going to let that cloud my judgement on a non issue.

    Just my opinion.

    If he would have stood for every single team the headline would be:
    "Pence and wife give standing ovation to Russians"
