<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Doubters More Important To Gilbert Arenas Than His Teammates WASHINGTON, DC--Since the day he entered the league in 2001, Gilbert Arenas has made it his mission to prove the doubters wrong. In fact, he?s so obsessed with that mission that he rarely has time to think about his own teammates, many of whom would like to win an NBA title instead of simply sticking it to Arenas? doubters. ?You know, it?s great that Gilbert has such a hard-on about proving his critics wrong, but it might be nice if he thought about the rest of us once in a while,? said teammate Antawn Jamison. ?We?re all concerned about winning a title and all he cares about is scoring as many points as possible to stick it to some guy who once doubted him. But the funny thing is, by being so single-minded and selfish, he?s just creating more doubters. I guess maybe that what he wants. As long as he doesn?t win a title, he?ll always have someone doubting him. Oh. I get it now. How depressing.?</div> It's so true. http://www.thebrushback.com/
HAHA, Thank god those predictions are over but Gil has to realize many things one of which is that he has to play defense as well as offense. Defense wins championship Offense gets you well known. As far as I'm concerned until Gilbert plays defense not only can the Wizards never contend for a title but he will never be labeled up there with the Wade's and Kobe's. Also, enough about to personel acheivments, you labeled this season The Takeover, well the Takeover ended with you being injured for the rest of the season and the Wizards collapsing. Good job. You predicted that you would drop 50 on Portland, it did not happen either time. This has to stop next year, This has been a horrible year for Washington sports.
I really like Gilbert, hes one of my favorite players to watch when not facing the Raptors (When facing the Raptors its vice a versa), reason being hes just having fun playing the game and is genuily a fan of basketball and its entertaining to watch what he'll do next. Anyways there is truth to what Jamison said, its time to put that whole Zero to Hero, Doubters thing behind him and actually think about contending for a championship.

The two 50 pt predictions (Which I don't believe he should've done but he did) were all becuase he missed the birth of his duaghter to play from TeamUSA. Although I'd rather have him just said that he would win the regular season series for the Wizards or something like that he still didn't really do anything to make him "a selfish bastard". I agree that Gil should focus on the Wizards winning more than personal accomplishments but he's not as crooked as you say he is Rok.
