    You're right. It hasn't aged well. I still think Miller is a great writer in how he set the stage for the Beats. A better take on his character is the Anais Nin selected-diary memoir, Henry And June. She fell in lust with him for a bit and really got to the essence of his strengths and weaknesses.

    I enjoyed reading his novella, The Old Man and the Sea, and his memoir, A Moveable Feast.

    His eldest son Jack also published an autobiography, Misadventures of a Fly Fisherman, recounting "his childhood in Paris, education at Dartmouth, work as an OSS agent in World War II, escape from a German POW camp, and experiences fishing around the world."

    I liked the novella published after he died...The Garden of Eden...great frickin' ending
