Anybody got any serious objections to banning assault weapons? Give me one good reason that things like the AR-15 are legal.

I don't care if this particular gun is legal or not but if it were to become illegal guess what? these will still exists on the black market and on the streets, depending on who you know. Crime filled neighborhoods are filled with these types of guns, just bought on the street

The problem with this is that people who want guns to do harm will get them regardless of a law or ban. And then we are left with only evil people with guns.

and good people with guns sometimes have evil kids who take their guns to school....I've lived in a country where guns are illegal and this shit never happens there....not a coincidence..

Getting an Elliot Rodger vibe from this killer. Valentine's day, bowling shoe ugly, probably spent his time browsing goofy school shooter Tumblr pages and shit. I was kinda surprised he killed so many, it didn't feel like a high death count event, and then I turn on the TV and see 17 dead. RIP to the victims.

I'm not qualified to debate gun control but I remember reading that assault rifles are barely used in any crimes.and it's like 90% handguns, so idk.
