That isn't the guns fault. That's poor parenting

    Why wasn't it locked up?

Why do you have a gun in the house period if you have a child with mental issues? IF you didn't previously know your child had signs of issues, how engaged with your child are you?

Sorry River. We must put responsibility and blamer where it truly lies and not find some scapegoat for inexcusable decision making.

Not my job to teach you US History, why you are free to speak, travel, own property, vote...

Sad you're so intellectually lazy you haven't researched it before making silly comments.

An indictment of public schooling that adult citizens don't have a clue why they are "allowed" to be free.

why does it need to be a scapegoat....it's a safeguard ....kids do dumb shit...mental illness is many things....rage is rage...these things are case by case but access to a weapon that can take out 17 high school classmates in short order can be addressed....have that conversation...

That’s funny because I actually have a personal story regarding mental illness that ended in my girlfriends brothers death because her mom shot him. It’s called psychosis. I ended up understanding a lot about mental illness from that day forward and that was two years ago but yeah my age, hmmm never experienced a thing...

Since "assault weapons" is a redundant term with no actual meaning or definition....

You have access to a vehicle which can kill a shit ton of people. You also have access to many other things that could kill a handful of people if you chose to go that route. But yeah, guns...

yeah...I'm retirement age...never needed to kill anyone and I own guns...owned many cars...never thought about killing anyone...for a disturbed kid to go into a rage and not be able to go home and get a gun from dad's closet is a safeguard....my wife is from a country with gun laws and this doesn't happen there...ever....there are murders but not mass murders....it's demonstrable whether you subscribe to it or not....law enforcement professionals should have the guns...I don't care to debate this issue...I don't think guns stop gun violence period

He could have done the exact same damage with a sharpened stick.

yeah...lot of those mass murders going around eh.....fact is countries with strict gun laws do not have these high school, church, concert, mass murders..and we have lots of them....you can say your guns will stop those things and keep you free...I'm saying you really don't need them and you're probably safer without them in the long run..

I’m just saying you have access to a vehicle which can kill a handful of people. You can turn a lot of things into a murder weapon. Ban it all then. “Go into a rage”. Yeah I mean okay sure he went into a rage. Educate yourself on mental illness then come back to me

Why take this stance if you aren't willing to take away guns from the mentally ill?

MFs always talk about mental health as the problem but don't bring one solution.

Well, stop talking about mental health being a problem if you think they should still have access to guns.

Again, it's easy to point out the problem. What's your solution???

I'm SO TIRED of hearing people whine about mental illness without talking about taking away their guns.

You can't have a firearm if you have a restraining order but you can have one if you're mental...

There is nothing factual about your statement.

    The opposite is fact.

    Visit Honduras. I dare you.
