Who do you guys hope the Raptors will play in the 1st round.New Jersey Nets- Its going to be one heck of a series. Raptors vs VC and co. in the playoffs. Its going to be a very intense series and possibly one for the Raptors fans to remember always. A chance of beating VC in game 7 will be most likely. It will be a good way to show Carter that the Raptors can survive without himWashington Wizards- The Wizards so far are matched up with the Raptors in the 3rd and 6th seed. Wizards lost abround 40% of their scoring in the lost of Caron Butler(Broken Wrist) and Gilbert Arenas(Sprained Knee) this past week. It will be quite an easy series for the Raptors to take in 5 game and succeed to round 2. But the Wizards haven't had many games with their top 3 players this year and have succeeded well.Miami Heat- With the likes of Dwayne Wade, I wouldn't like to play them as we are no match for the Heat once he comes back. But if we do end up playing them, it will be a very intense and tough series for the Raptors to pull off. Shaq in the middle is already a handful and with all his playoff experience, he will most likely kill the unexperienced Raptors. Also Dwayne Wade has one a title, and knows what it takes to win one again. So I doubt any of you would want to play themChicago Bulls- Raptors and Bulls have been long time rivals. And the bulls winning streak against the Raptors have finally ended.

To be honest, I hope the Wizards maintain their 4 game lead over New Jersey. The Wizards will be missing about 48 points of offense from the losses of Gilbert and Caron, and their defense will still suck. We'll pick up an easy win for sure!Let's go Wiz! Win some games here!

The rest of the teams are still fighting for playoff spots and are going to take advantage of a very injured Wizards team.

By the looks of that scehdule, it will be the Wizards dropping down and the Nets going up. That is one tough schedule they have to face with just Jamison left to handle the load.

this is a very interesting question . id love to have new jersery and pound vince carter into oblivion. oh id just love joey graham smashing his elbow into vince's chops , as wince lies on the floor crying. orlando isnt probable. washington is innjured and very much reeling like a wounded dog, but remeber wounded dogs can become ferocious when fighting for their lives .and theres miami. very interesting thing about miami . earlier today I was reading a post on a different site about miami . the thread starter actually wanted to get miami in the first round , out of revenge for the loss, and also to prove ourselves ... very noble notions . the reply on the raptors forum was hilarious and downright pathetic. they started flaminghim and saying how much of a fool he was for wanting miami. this is 98 % of the posters. verifying that 98 % of the people out there are cowards.they gave reasons such as wizards are perfect because they are weak, lost their point makers, it would be a confidence builder, miami is stronger.... blah blah , and I just thought wow . what a bunch of puzzies. whats a better confidence builder , to defeat goliath at the getgo and send a message to all your opponents. or to beat a wounded dog into submission? apparently most posters on that board would rather the ladder because they will feel more confident after slaying a wounded animal, too afraid to face the lion, too afraid of being beaten by the champions..... such is the contemporary cowardice of our day. true competitors have blood in their eye , and fire in their heart. if toronto is destined to be a great team they will glady accept any challenge from the toughest opponent. if you dont have the balls to do so at any point in time, you do not deserve to be called the best .to sum it all up a man named napoleon bonaparte [IMG] once said that he who fears being conquered is sure of defeat. I certainly hope our raptor players do not share the same cowardly mentality of our armchair posters. I true champion will want to face the best, without any fear, to show that he is worthy of being the best . not afraid and run away and ask for weaker competition to "build confidence", a champion's heart has the confidence to beat the best without feeling he needes to beat a weakling to verify himself.anyways another rant at the disgusting status of some raptor fans and their weak willed minds. from narrow minded harpies who want to get rid of tj as soon as theres a small stumble, to these armchair expert coaches who apparently know coaching better than sam mitchell and know what play should have been called when in the game. hey ... funny thing... hes coaching with decades of nba playing and coaching experience... while youre sitting behind a computer with a bag of potato chips.. and you are criticizing this man and want his job when you havent played or experienced a single nba game, not even good enough to be hired by an nba team to wash their jockstraps. majority of raptor fans make me sick. I know brian colangelo can see them for who they are, and I am thanfull we have a leader who doesn't fall into pressure of the stupid mob . he is the 1%er , a champion who isnt afraid, a leader with courage. not the 99 % panzy scum out there. thats the heart we want. and thats why I say bring on the best. we'll fight you till our last drop of blood and leave you in fear and respect for us for years to come. go raptors!!!

I want to get to the second round, and an easy competitor like the wizards w/o arenas would be the best option IMO.

You guys wanna play Washignton, we have not put it together since Caron and Gilbert's injuries. Sometimes you see teams like Miami come together after the loss of a superstar well clearly this has not occures with the Wiz. Washington will not be able to defend the duo of Bosh and Bargnani, it should be an easy series for the Raps to go through. However, rumor is that Caron may do everything he can to get back before hte playoffs.

Also the Heat did so well because they still have Shaq and other good players. Who do the Wizards have left? Jamison, and thats about it. So to tell you the truth I really don't think that the Wizards will do any good to end the year.

I never said Washington will do any good. Washington has a 4 game lead on New Jersey with 8 games left on the season. It will be hard for NJ to catch us so late in the season. I do not think there will be a playoff run. Also even with Shaq opening up tons of shots, the Heat squad does not have the same athletecism as the rest of the league at their older ages they did step it up and play with tons of heart since Wade's injury.

We will beat you twice, so really it will only be a 2 game lead. And your going to lose to the other teams I listed . If the Magic start winning, you could possibly end up with the 8th seed and get swept right out of the playoffs.

That is a pretty bold prediction, Wizards are not going to collapse as much as you guys think. In no way are the Wizards going to be succesful through the rest of this year however they will win a couple games before the end of this season. New Jersey hasn't played above .500 ball since the very beggining of the year, they have been huge under-achievers through the entire season I don't think that they will go back to the 2005-2006 Nets for the last couple of games this season to beat out the Wizards.

Dont act like your team is so good. The nets and wizards both have been very unlucky this year with their main players getting hurt, or they would both be at the same level or even better then the Raptors, ok?

Mitchell said he didnt play Washington, because they would have been fighting even harder. I however want to play the Nets come playoff time, if we win, it really sent a message to VC, I hate his guts.

Firstly you're underrating the Wizards. With a torn down squad with neither of our all-stars we nearly picked up a W against the Cavaliers. The New Jersey Nets are not the same squad they were last year, not even close. They have also lost players to injuries (Krstic), I'm sure the Wizards will win against them once. Miami and Chicago are both fighting for playoff position and matchup amazingly against the Wizards so no real chance of winning either of those. Indiana has quickly fallen way out of the playoffs and are no longer the same squad that they have been the past couple of years. The Pacers are a torn down franchise with pretty much at this point no chance of getting into the playoffs again. Antawn Jamison always goes off against Orlando, not to mention Orlando is also far from the squad they were earlier this year. They have become very inconsistent since Grant Hill's injury. I can see the Wizards winning 2-3 of these games.

BTW, Costazatheassman, this is about who the Raptors will face in the first round of the playoffs. It in all likely hood will be New Jersey or Washington so it has everything to do with this thread.
