It will be cool to see Toine back at the Garden. You know he's going to love playing back in Boston. Should be a good game tonight, Pinkney double-double???

Are you kidding me? Pinkney is going to get a TRIPLE-double. I'm calling 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. I'll say 5 blocks with it, 3 steals, and he won't get a single turnover. You know how the Pink Panther do.

What's up with the recent Kevinn Pinkney obsession? [IMG]I liked this guy a lot when he played for the Wizards during summer league/training camp.

This was an awesome game. Shaq was just absolutely dominant in the first half, there is no answer for that. But in that second half, this team fought SO HARD and almost took that game. Doc pulled a tank job, though, when he took Gomes out to close the game and he put in Bassy (who did play well, though). Whatever, it was still an excellent game to watch and it was nice to see the young guns step up.

    Player-by-Player Analysis
Ryan Gomes for threee. I love it, he has really extended his range, and he's showing it in games now. He hit 3 of them the other night, 4 tonight. This is a guy that only took them in have-to situations just 2-3 months ago. He's shooting them with confidence now, and he's knocking them down. I love to see this from Gomes, he's going to be a key role player for a long time in this league (hopefully with Boston).

Rondo did everything, once again. He was pushing the ball, making little flip shots and floaters around the basket, rebounding beautifully, finding people, and playing solid defense. He's the point guard of the future, there is no question about it.

Leon Powe was an animal tonight. He got big time minutes, and he produced. He was extremely active, he was swallowing up every ball that came off the rim, he was playing very solid defense, and he was throwing his body around. Yet another steal in the second round by Danny Ainge.

It was nice to see Gerald take shots tonight. There were a few that were questionable, but I'm happy that he wasn't hesitant. He needs to fire away, and he did. He started off hot, then from the end of the 2nd quarter to about 4 minutes to go or so in the 3rd, he was ice cold. Then he hit a few in a row, then he missed a few at the end. But again, it was good to see him not pass them up.

Hey WTJ... Bassy did a pretty good job tonight. [IMG] Bassy really did well. He set up shooters, including one ridiculous 360 kickout pass to Gerald (awesome!), he pushed the ball, he actually attacked the basket a few times... but most importantly, Bassy really played decent defense tonight. He did a very solid job on Williams. Sure, he tried to run in front of 2 screens, but other than that, he did a very creditable job. He played with fire, he attacked, and he produced. Way to go, Bassy.

Perk had a tough night, he really did. It's obviously understandable, he had to deal with Shaquille O'Neal all night. There were a couple BS calls that only went Miami's way because "it was Shaq," but I didn't like how Perk kept sulking and getting frustrated. He did a much better job in the second half, though. But like Doc said, Perk will need to take a nice long hot bath tonight, haha.

Allan Ray, starting? I never thought it would come down to that, but hey, things happen. He started off absolutely ice cold and he fired up too many 3's early on, but he was more aggressive going to the basket in the 2nd half (much like Wednesday night in Milwaukee). Not a bad night from the young fella.

Kevinn "The Pink Panther" Pinkney didn't get a ton of minutes tonight, but he made some solid plays. He made a nice wrap around pass to Powe and he was working hard. I definitely think it was absolutely ridiculous/funny that Doc actually put Pinkney on Shaq for a small amount of time, but oh well. Nice to see the guy get a chance to play, though.
