I am a Blazers fan since 2014 and Maybe i dont know everything, but Walton won the Championship in 1977 with Portland right? So Why he sucked that Warriors dick on ESPN and talked shit about the Blazers? I thought he is a Blazers legend and he loves the Blazers? Fuck even Some friends from Germany mentioned how hard he sucked that Warriors dick, he didn't knew who was Aminu or Nurkic, when Stotts complained on that non Call on Napier Walton said: Why complaining Stotts? You are winning. And then he said Warriors Players deserves calls and the Blazers not! WTF? I was a Bit dissapointed because i didn't knew he hates the Blazers that much and his dickriding on Warriors Players was absolutely annoying, can somebody tell me what is wrong with bill walton?
I enjoyed Walton's broadcast of the game. I thought he said some very nice things about our players and especially the Portland fans.
There’s no rhyme or reason to what Walton says. I wouldn’t put any stock into him favoring one team over another, he’s a funny media personality that usually won’t provide any meaningful insight unless it’s about the geological history of the cascade mountain range or some shit.
Well he’s from California right? And luke Walton coached that warriors team for a while. Probably explains it. I liked him. Unique personality and often hilarious
I don't find being excessively loud, purposely obnoxious, and having diarrhea of the mouth to be funny. Not in Walton; not in other so called comedians. Some people do. So that's cool.
this....only Steve Snapper Jones could make up for his wandering away from the action of the game...I think he's better with Pac 12 games...he seems to stay more focused on college stuff....
Walton was good but he did seem like a homer for the Warriors . It was like he was trying to will them to beat the Blazers with his commentary. It really soured me to Walton
First, it’s his job Second, you talk about dicks way too much it’s creepy Third, he’s a terrible announcer
I just watched the game on dvr a few hours ago. To start, that was an awesome game to watch! Aside from that, I did get kinda tired of Bill's constant blabbering, but I know that's what he's paid to do. Hadn't heard or seen him commentate for over 10 years, so it was definitely a throwback. His commentary style was consistent with what I remember 12-15 years ago, when he would say the most random things a commentator could say. A buddy of mine used to make up random things Walton would/might say like "Devean George is the best inbounds passer in the history of the nba." He also picked up where he left off with "throw it dOWn big man." Furthermore, he said something like "that was one of the 6 most pointless plays the blazers have ever made" or whatever. Yeah, Bill being Bill.
How is your German? I know some words in two other languages. Spanish and Vietnamese. Three quarters of the words I know are bad and taught to mecfrom fellow work mates. Do you understand pinche calbron???? Chill bro. Blazers are going global and there will continue to be more members with somewhat broken English. Makes them no less of a fan.
Bill initially was funny and made broadcasts entertaining. But he turned into a caricature of himself. For the Warriors/Blazers game, it was like he well full Borat mode, not realizing he crossed the threshold of annoyance. Still better than Hubie Brown.
