For those of you who like rap more then rock why do you like rap more? For those of you who like rock more than rap why do you like rock more? For those of you who hate either rap or rock why do you hate it?
yeah I also like both I dont liek emo rock though because I saw 1 video of a emo rock group that was just plain creepy and it really scared me lol
I like both rap and rock. Some days I'm in the mood to listen rock and some other days rap. It might seem wierd, but thats just what I like to do.
I guess it didn't really rub off on me from others, a lot of people I know like rock and actually before I liked rap, their rock liking rubbed off on me.But I really got into the lyrics, I could relate to the rhyme scemes, etc. and I gradually liked it better. And the beats are nice too.

When I was in 6th 7th and 8th grade I loved rap, the club type rap. 50 cent, Nelly, etc.In the summer going into Freshmen year I began to like rock, punkish type stuff like Weezer. Then one of my skater friends showed me one of his skate videos during the beginning of freshmen year and there was this nasty song in the backround. I asked what it was and he said it was Jedi Mind Tricks - I Against I. I asked him what other good rappers there were, named me a few like Atmosphere, GZA. Fell in love with the lyrics such as Binary Star's lyrics. So intricate and complex, and the mood matches with the song so well. I still listen to rock, when I'm in the mood. I like some soft rockish type of stuff when I'm going to sleep. But I do like other bands, like Foo Fighters, especially their song Everlong. YEP
Rock music has just never appealed to me. I don't like the sound of extremely loud yelling/instruments.

I like rap more because ....-you can dance to it -some of it(rom certain rappers) are like stories and poems with a beat-just sounds better-something good to listen to in carI hate r&r especially right now, I like a couple udnerground bands...but I cant stand bands with the sound like they are singing outve their noses....
I just don't relate to black music...don't relate to the 'gangster/hard life' lyrics...etc...Most people who are rappers/hiphoppers come from big cities and grew up in dumps....I just don't relate to it.

Im an OG which is partially the reason I like rap...lol, jk but seriously I like rap I think just for the beat of the music, really gets me pumped up, I also only like the mainstream stuff, im not hard core rap with underground people. I just like lil wayne, young jeezy, rich boy, and all the mainstream stuff u hear on the radio and the stuff that is popular, im not into the underground "yo mutha fuckaz im outta the hood tryin make a livin my niggaz"
