Sure would be nice if SA fell apart. One less team in our way.

This feels eerily reminiscent of all their injuries that conveniently led to the #1 pick and Tim Duncan. Have the Spurs targeted the next pillar in the upcoming draft? Only Popp would know how to coach the ping pong balls to get the most out of them.

I would give up anything they wanted other than Dame. That still isn't enough though.

C.J. McCollum and picks. Then Harkless and Meyers for Lee and Thomas. Sign Herzonja for MLE.

    Lillard / Napier
    Lee / Turner
    Kawhi / Herzonja
    Aminu / Collins
    Nurkic / Davis

    That's a Top 3 defensive team.

His contract ends in 2019 and he would basically be coming after a year without basketball, I don't think he would cost a bomb.

If the Spurs are selling I'm sure as hell NOT buying. Nothing good ever comes from dealing with the Spurs.

His name is Deandre Ayton, he plays for Arizona, and he's a beast.

Big men, Ayton and Bamba, have a good chance being selected nos. 1 and 2 in the upcoming draft.

Kawhi "probably won't return this season" does not mean he won't play in the playoffs. He will. And he won't be traded either. That's just crazy talk.

I do think Pops could do a lot with Collins, though.

Unless Pops is coaching for us, I'm not terribly interested in what he could do for Collins.

Seriously, if Pops is going to retire, can Paul Allen back up a dumptruck full of money and just ask him?

Why wait for potential retirement? Pops looks worn out. I think working with a guy like Dame could revive him. Back the Brinks truck up now!

Trade coaches? That's happened before, yeah? Give SA Terry Stotts and some cash considerations, give Pops cash. Everyone gets money, we win.

The only way Pops moves onto a new team is if someone like LeBron asks him and SA completely falls apart. LeBron respects the hell out of Pops and would take a more traditional player role to the HOF coach.
