Dame, and imo it’s not that close. Yes I’ve been watching since the Clyde days so I saw Broy in his prime.

I saw Broy in his prime too, and I take Dame every day. It hasn't been close for a couple years.

I’ve been watching since the Larue Martin days and no Blazer comes close to the swagger Dame possesses. I think Broy was physically more gifted with height and could abuse less athletic SGs and SFs. But Lillard is on another level.

I love both players, but what Dame did tonight (and numerous other nights) was special. He’s playing the best basketball of his career.

They both had the clutch gene but again it’s dame overall.

Imagine if Dame and LA came in together instead, would they have had more success? IMO yes

Casey Holdahl and Joe Freeman answered this question in their podcast. B Roy was never dropping the huge numbers as frequently as Damian.

Picking best player by stats is like picking best player by championship rings. They are both studs, but my preference will always be Roy.

And I love Brandon Roy. Roy's my second favorite Blazer all time.

Dame every day of the week. Better player, harder worker, better representative of the city and team, nicer human being.

Why do you think that? Not so much that lillard isn’t those things but that Roy wasn’t a nice person or hard worker?

Lillard. Roy didn’t make anyone around him better nor was he the leader Dame is. That ISO offense wasn’t all on McMillan. Roy wanted that.

Damian Lillard has already caught up with Roy in terms of regular season success and all-star numbers. He has gotten further than Roy in the playoffs. I still consider Roy's playoff performance vs Dallas to be more clutch and awe-inspiring than Dame's shot vs Houston. If we had to get a bucket in a do or die scenario, I think I would trust Roy more as Dame's clutchness seems a bit more streaky. However, I think Dame takes the lead in every other category.

IMO Dame is a better leader, teammate, and playmaker. Oh and he's just hit the prime of his career and shows no signs of slowing down. Longevity is no small thing. Once Roy hit his prime years, he had to retire so that takes away a lot in my mind. I have no doubt Dame will take us to the WCF at the very least by end of his career.

Feels like a level of bias due to the current vs years ago Roy presence. Roy was so good. He was clutch, he scored from all over, he was a winner, he defended and while some say he wasn’t a leader or a good guy (?), my interaction with him was always good and he was a super nice guy.
