Trump has as of yesterday lawyered up and started preparing for his interview ...said his lawyers are trying to let him know what questions not to answer so he'll avoid perjury charges...his lawyers apparently think Mueller can trick him into perjuring himself. If we've learned anything about Trump it's that he lies a lot, has few actual convictions and hides his business dealings and tax returns....my guess...he's evaded paying taxes...I don't think Trump has the chess moves in his playbook to collude with Putin...Putin however has the chess moves to manipulate Trump.

Hey, nice job. You've gone from calling someone a loser to saying they're being a sore loser. It's close to violating the no personal insult rule but doesn't imo.

    Old dog, new tricks!

Well dog, I suspect the difference here is from the vantage point you hold.
You don't seem to find calling someone a Cuck and insult. I cringe like hell just seeing the word, even when I am not the target.
From my view, when an American insults the President with all sorts of derogatory language, I find call them a sore loser rather charitable, but truthful.
Perhaps painfully truthful to the culprit, I grant.

It is a fair response to intentional disrespect. We do have free speech, as you know. But no one is assured their speech will be pleasantly received. Painful truth, in returned is on the upper side of what one should expect.

There is no freedom of speech in a privately owned forum.

If Trump was a member here he would be protected by the no personal insult rule.

I agree with the cuck thing. Hoping the cool kids will move onto a different word.

I'm sure that's the outcome you'd prefer....I think you'll see more hyperventilation than a single last gasp....more to come

    Like I said, last gasp.

Get him any way you can, just for the sake of getting him. Overthrow the election results you don't like.

Sorry, but I have zero sympathy.

Yeah, my guy lost, but I'm not butt hurt over it.

My hope is that Trump WILL fire Mueller. That would be like dumping a tanker full of gas on the issue....and America has always had a fascination with self immolation........

It's all just futzing around as it goes. Might as well get it on and settle the issues for another 150 years.

neither am I but I am suspicious of Trump's administration for good reason.....I'm sure Gary Johnson is too....Kasich has one of the best takes on this partisan crap we've had to live with forever.....I actually like what Kasich has to say about the govt these days...he's probably running as an independent next election

When one tells the truth, they don't need lawyers to feed them answers....they should be able to walk in guilt free and speak the truth....Trump has a lot of lies to remember....under oath..might be a problem...it's not twitter anymore

If Kasich runs as an independent, he will pull almost exclusively conservative voters, and probably a decent quantity of them since he actually has a fair amount of name recognition. Democrat victory guaranteed.

Any idea who's the favorite to be the Dem nominee in 2020? Based on Trump's performance to date, and the likely dynamics of that election, I imagine the infighting to gain that spot is going to be vicious.

I gotta disagree with your take that Kasich would pull almost exclusively conservative voters. I’m a moderate Independent (and recovering Democrat) who could get strongly behind Kasich and I believe there are quite a few moderates from BOTH parties who would join me. Right now the extremists are steering both major parties (and creating an even bigger divide) and, based on things I’ve read and conversations I’ve had, I think a growing number of citizens are sick and tired of this kind of crap. The election of 2020 may not be the tipping point, but I strongly believe it will open some eyes. The Republican and Democratic parties have outlived there usefulness.

I would love for you to be right, but I think that when it comes down to actual voting time, if liberal voters see Trump, Kasich, and (for example) Joe Biden on the ballot, most are not going to vote for the pro-fracking, anti-abortion, anti-drug-legalization, NRA-supported candidate. He's a moderate, yes, but he's still a moderate conservative, and that will sink him in the general if he runs as an independent. And the fear of that will also keep a lot of conservative voters from voting for him as well. The entrenchment of the two-party system makes third-party candidates completely unviable, until we get the instant-runoff that we truly need (that the parties will never accept).
