Let's do a trade thread where we talk about some funny facts about trades (why? Because we need some light hearted threads to remind us why we enjoy talking about basketball) For example: Danny Ainge was traded by the San Diego Clippers to the Boston Celtics (as part of a bigger trade, and as a future pick) for what amounted to 3 guys who ended up playing on the Blazers at one time in their careers and a Portland State Player. Kevin Kunnert, Kermit Washington, Sydney Wicks and Freeman Williams. Kermit Washington was "traded" by the Clippers, to the Blazers, (with Kevin) as compensation for signing Bill Walton, who eventually played on the Celtics with..Danny Ainge. Danny was traded from Boston to Sacramento for future Trail Blazer Joe Kleine. Danny was traded to Portland for Byron Irvin (who was later traded by Sacramento for former Trail Blazer, Steve Colter, who came to Portland with a draft pick that became Clyde Drexler via a trade with Denver, for T.R. Dunn). Ok, that last one was a bit of a stretch, but you get the idea. There's one involving Randolph Childress, where he in essence was traded for himself or something. I don't have time to look into it right now, but I will later (if this thread doesn't die like a Meyers Leonard 3).
A lot of it is due to the poor way i wrote it, and re-edited it. If I wasn't working until super late tonight I'd try to adjust it a little. But the jist of it was that every time Danny Ainge got traded in his career, it involved a Trail Blazer of some sort.
Gotcha. I love going back and looking at what trade got us so in so like that. Cause you could go WAAAAY back. Like we traded Przy for Gearlad Wallace, if we hadnt’ have done that, we wouldn’t have got Dame right?
