<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (The Captain @ Apr 8 2007, 08:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Eh?Is there like a story behind that? Or did you just suddenly think that out of the blue as soon as you woke up?</div><span style="font-family:Century Gothic">Well, here's the truth:Ever since September 11th occurred, people told me that Islam was wrong and that that's the devil's religion. I began contemplating whether or not that was true... Then I started thinking about all these religious stories that every religion has. For instance, Moses split the sea.It took me a few years to think it over. I was in the 10th grade (last year) when I finally got around to questioning people about God, Christianity, Islam, Catholicsm, etc. Eventually, I got around to believing that there's no possible way for a superior being to exist because of these following simple facts, which led me to these difficult-to-answer questions:- Every religious event occurred waaaaaaaaay back in the day... Where is God now?- There's only one God... Why are there so many different religions?- Since there's only one God... Why did he lead every religion to believe they are the correct religion? At first, I still believed in God and was still Muslim, but then it dawned on me one morning that there's no possible way for any being to watch every single human, animal, star, planet, etc., all by his lonely.Overall, it's hard to explain, but it took me years to get around to saying, "There's no God." I was afraid at first because I didn't want to be wrong, but those questions of mine made me wake up one morning and think it through. I decided:There can't be a God.Here's my logic for a God to not exist:Ancient civilizations, such as the Aztecs and Greeks, believed that there were numerous gods; for example, there was a god of the sea, god of the wind, god of the earth, etc. How did people suddenly go from a million gods to one? Then I started to think that maybe because there weren't set laws back in the day to handle everyone, leaders began coming up with religion as a way to stop people from doing misdeeds. If a person was convinced that a superior being was watching him, he would at least attempt to not do illegal acts.Racial issues also kicked in... Why is it that we are all different races if we all came from Adam and Eve? That makes no sense to me. I've been told that our regions changed us.. Meaning, blacks went to Africa and got dark, Asians went to Asia and looked at the sun for a long time, etc. So does that mean we all started as white people? Does that suddenly mean that white people are the superior race? Why are there so many planets if earth is the only planet that has living, breathing creatures in it? Isn't this "God" fellow just wasting space? Is there even any space to waste?I apologize in case anyone suddenly feels offended. I'm just stating the truth here, fellas. It may not seem like the truth to you, but I sure do believe it is logical to think logically... To think logically, you have to accept the fact that there's no such thing as a God.</span>

I don't know what I believe in....I find it scary that so many 13 year old's have it grained into their head that this is the way the world/afterlife is....it's like...man....Things are so confusing, life is so complicated, so many emotions and ways to look at things...I don't think I can ever limit myself and go, 'this is what it is, everyone else is wrong, this old book says this and thats the way it is.' I don't even find the need to be religious, I used to be Catholic because my parents are but turned down confirmation at the last minute and left the church....I find it moderatly interesting to learn about religion but I don't feel the need to believe in anything, I'm 19 years old, I don't have much experience, I have so much more to learn about life.

I've gone to a Catholic school all my life, I've taken a religion class in school all my life, but I don't believe in God. I may be forced to learn all about Christ in school, but it's nonsense to me.

I actually think you and I have talked about this before over IM. Those people are idiots, Islam is probably the closest religion to Christianity, and both have same roots.
it says in the Bible that in darker times, man will be seperated from God, when mankind becomes more sinful
Theres not many other religions besides the monotheistic religions that involves a god, you have buhddism and hinduism, which are more of spiritial religions. And the mono religions are all derived from the same religion.
He didnt lead us, man has his own choices, God doesn't control us. And even though we all have different religions, IMO, muslim, jews, and christians worship the same God basicly.
I believe everybody was once a middle-toned skin, but people got lighter, and other people got darker...some never changed. And remember, if you believe in the mono religions, we all basicly started all over with Noah and his family. So we DID all start out as the same color most likely.

Dinosaurs and human beings never lived together, there's zero fossil evidence of it. Period. Find me a better website than that, christ.

theres ancient pictures showing dinosaures together, and if your are religious like I am, it says in the bible that "giants" roamed the earth. The word "dinosaures" didnt even exist until the 1800s. And I dont know about yall, but I wouldnt be around any dinos to be fossilzed with...

I'm Christian, also a strong believer in god. I don't go to church but I try to follow god the best way possible. I pray 3-4 times per day, but I'm not a religious freak.
