The only logic conclusion when looking at the complexity of life, tha DNA coding system, the laws of thermodynamics, or any scientific law really. Is that there had to be a designer. How can there be codes withoutba programmer? How can there be laws without a law giver? The next logical step is to want to figure out who the designer is, but it seems today people cant even get passed the obvious step 1.
Theology is fascinating.....all the religious outlooks that have stuck and hung around for thousands of years....my parents were staunch atheist Midwestern farmers...I joined church on my own when I was in about 5th grade for two reasons....the music was amazing and the girls were pretty and dressed up..after the war I found Christianity lacking substance for my spiritual needs and moved on to eastern studies...Taoism is my favorite so far...no dogma..no agenda..connected to all life we share the planet with and not some human alpha domination over nature....today I'd say I'm agnostic....but I go to Easter Mass for the music and sense of love....Lao Tse impressed the hell out of me. I don't believe we're here to suffer and die for a god...I don't believe in eternal damnation of pagans...I don't believe in an after life but I believe in reincarnation and a soul that leaves the body behind and transforms. We probably all come from sponges in the ocean but after finding land have been visited by travelers throughout time and they may have left some seed....sort of explains angels and Greek Mythology or Mayan myths..they all have visitors from the heavens in the lore....just came from a ping pong marathon with my son.....I'm babbling here...apologies
Marzy, we also have the right amount of iron in our core to provide the poles of sufficient strength to ward off dangerous solar radiation. This happened because Gaia was struck by Theia at just the right angle to not only form our moon but also to provide iron and a spin that is just right. The term 'amazing' hardly does it justice.
Also consider that infinity is an awful big number. This thought sends me into a tailspin that only religion can solve. By the way, I never liked Wallace.
Well, you don't make a very good case for it. The laws that govern physics aren't arbitrary, they are the result of the nature of matter. Nature is the "lawgiver". barfo
I also think there's a difference between what exists in the universe and what our senses are capable of perceiving...we may be just a speck of dust on a much larger entity...
I used to say the same thing until one day i questioned why does christianity seem to be twisted so much? why do most rock bands hate this jesus fellow? Then someone showed me in the bible that satan is the ruler of this world. Suddenly it made sense. If he hates christ so much, wouldnt that fuel him to twist scripture constantly to confuse people? Then i read satan is the author of confusion in the bible. Wow my theory was written down. Then i read the first twisting of scripture in scripture in the garden of eden story. Satan confuses and convinces people they are doing right in the name of jesus when they are in fact doing wrong. I learned that if you study the bible, then you can now make sure what a man says follows the bible, instead of following what a man says. You'd be surprised just how lonely a real christian feels in todays society. I cant even find a church home as there are so many confused and faulty doctrines. But i have my bible and the spirit of God so i'm never truly alone.
But nature cant program. Computers dont program themselves, they require intelligent arrangement of data. You say nature gives laws but your evolutionary theory defies the laws of thermodynamics. It's a logical contradiction.
Additionally, if you're against christianity because of catholic crusades (not same religion, check spelling) then you must also hate athiests. Stalin atheist 60 million Mao atheist 20 million Pol Pot atheist 6 million Atheist are the undisputed all-time highest body count winners
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0cf3a6449a6_story.html?utm_term=.9207c45a6cbf I have been to Midway, Laysan, and French Frigate Shoals. Beautiful places! I had planned to go again, until this fellow fucked it up for me. I think it would have been this winter.
Oh yeah! The Magnetic Shield! Outstanding! Thank you for the contribution. Additions made in the list.
Life adapts to its environment. Thinking that some magical being adapted the environment for some preconceived idea for life is silly.
Sure, because we built computers. It's like saying rabbits can't drive cars. Yeah, so? Nature can certainly "program" natural things. Your heart beats without you writing code (and without some deity intervening). I don't believe that is correct. In any case, I cannot give you even partial credit unless you show your work. barfo
Entropy says everything is moving toward chaose but evolution says we are mutating to a more advanced creature. Evolution defies entropy. The heart beats because the DNA code tells it to. The DNA code has established how you will look as an adult before you exit the womb. There is no possible way for primordial soup to be struck by lightning and form DNA. Evolution is beyond unscientific. Id believe in the flying spaghetti monster before id believe this garbage psycience.
