my first answer was the important one that covers your "bomb hacking" part...be honest...admit it happened...work with the National security team to address it and assure the American people it's being handled responsibly and not used as a partisan snarking point...as he has not done this....he raises plenty of suspicions as to why.....I don't know about echo chambers but I want to know why....the rat's ass is your concoction....the snake oil salesman I stole from Bloomberg

If a non bucko can step in, my list is pretty much what he said he would do.
That seems to be pretty much, not your list.

You jest. But I do not expect to see anything near the incompetence of Benghazi with Trump as CNC.

And even if we did, I do not see him lying through his teeth about it for months, in complete denial.

what I read in his post was a rant about what Trump can't do and that the govt is bigger than Apple...that security agencies would miss security issues and basically, what's the point....a USB drive was used......so...Trump has his hands tied...that's pretty much your take? My list asked for honesty and addressing security issues instead of preaching denial...those don't make your list? OK.....carry on....interesting honesty didn't make your list at least...

This is like shooting fish in a barrel.

"State Dept. Was Granted $120 Million to Fight Russian Meddling. It Has Spent $0."

"WASHINGTON – The Trump administration has decided not to punish anybody for now under new sanctions retaliating for Russia's election-meddling..." Fox News

Gee, what should the Manchurian Candidate do? I'm stumped!

Wow, 120 million! For only half I'll say this to my echo dot "Alexa, tell the Russians to knock it off"

Or we can just burn the money. I'd say we spend it on the worst bridge that needs repaired....or the homeless.

    No, let's do this....

The role for the Global Engagement Center would be to assess Russian efforts and then set about amplifying a different set of voices to counter them, perhaps creating a network of anti-propaganda projects dispersed around the world, experts said.

A network of anti-propaganda. I think I've heard it all now.

    No, sounds objective.

Butt hurt is marching the streets before he did anything, calling his election the end of the world, and calling for his impeachment the day he took office.

I never supported any such things, and still don't.

Obviously the State Department has no use for the money. It sure looks silly that the State Department is somehow good at security, when it's not their mission. They can't even keep their own workers from sending state secrets over non-government systems.

The government has spent many times what it cost to make Apple Computers Corporation from scratch on security and it didn't stop the government from being hacked numerous times.

Like I said, what are you saying they should spend the money on?

Your 2nd link says "for now." That suggests the administration is pursuing diplomatic solutions, which I believe is the actual solution.

Manchurian Candidate is a work of fiction. How appropriate!

    Fish in a barrel.

You second link, fox news. It says there were two things the administration was supposed to do. First, the article says they didn't impose sanctions on countries making weapons purchases from Russia because the State Dept sees those purchases not happening anyway. Second, the administration was to provide a list of Russians who might be sanctioned in the future, which the administration did provide.

    Like fish in a barrel.

Did you even read your own links?

    From the first:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/04/...partment-russia-global-engagement-center.html

The United States spends billions of dollars on secret cybercapabilities, but these weapons have proved largely ineffective against Russian efforts on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere that simply amplify or distort divisive but genuine voices in the United States and elsewhere.

    Your Manchurian candidate angers Moscow!

You do realize Trump confronted Putin directly over it, right? And he sided with our intel community over Putin's denial.

"work with the national security team to address it" is already happening and was happening all along. Where's the beef?

I asked a question and didn't get much of a response at all.

Given all those things, what is the self appointed security expert proposing that will stop any hacking that's going on?

I'll add to the shots across the bow that N Korea is actively hacking all over the world, as is China and numerous other countries.

Someone sounds butt hurt over the accurate use of the term surrender. But it was in Iraq that Obama SURRENDERED. The manchurian president (Obama) allowed Russia to build bases in Syria, though.

The current state dept. made a comment about the surrender in Iraq when talking about keeping our troops in Syria for a while to come. That we won't make the same "mistake" as the last administration and surrender our gains to the enemy there.
