http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...driving_charge/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Miami Heat forward James Posey was arrested early Monday on a drunken driving charge after an officer pulled him over for stopping in the middle of a road. Posey had stopped his car on a double-lane Miami Beach road, talking to occupants of other vehicles and pedestrians, police said. Once out of the car, Posey displayed "bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath," the police report said. The player also was unsteady on his feet and swayed while standing, police said. Posey was arrested and taken to Miami-Dade County jail. He was being held on $1,000 bond.</div> Little distractions like this is not what the team needs right now, come on James. It's almost playoff time, stop fu*kin around. Maybe Posey should be dealt to Sacramento this summer, I'm sure he and coach Mussleman would get along nicely.
Call a cab, james.youre making this into a big deal celticballa. Alot of players probably drink and drive. Just think of all the players that do it that just don't get pulled over...

If you noticed, I made a joke in the last sentence of the post.
Is it the cool thing to do to get a DUI? It's becoming to the point where I just laugh whenever I see a story like this. Where are these athletes heads at? I really don't think you were blowing it out of porportion either CB32, right before the playoffs and this idiot stops his car in the middle of the road to talk to people while he's hammered. What a dipshit.
I really don't understand how these dudes with millions of dollars get dui's. I'f I'm goin out to the bar and getting wasted, I'm havin my limo driver in the parking lot waiting for me.How long until David Stern says all NBA players can't drive anymore?
Posey is a tool on the court, so it only makes sense for him to be one off it. He's a dirty player who has his fair of cheapshots.
Did anybody notice that these things always happen in Miami? They must have some racist ass cops since it seems every two weeks another player is getting arrested while in Miami.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>They must have some racist ass cops since it seems every two weeks another player is getting arrested while in Miami</div>He was sh*t faced talking to pedestrians in the middle of a double laned road. Any person of any color with that kind of stupidity would get caught.

LA is the only city which really matches Miami with all of the clubs and stuff, but LA is also the town of stars where they get away with things that they never would get away with in other areas of the country.

Im glad he got a DUI. With all that money he makes, I would guess he could just buy someone to drive him around. But it's Posey...its funner to drink and drive

And I don't know if this is necassarily true or not, but I'm pretty sure most players who play for the Nets/Knicks don't actually live in Manhatten, which is a pain in the a$$ to get in and out of. Miami's hot spots are more accessible to the outskirts.PS- The Posey foul was a hard foul, but he didn't tackle him and didn't seem to want to hurt him. The Kirk Hinrich check in the playoffs was a lot more dirty of a play, although it looked a lot less harmful than the Deng thing.

They go out, get hammered, and think they are invincible because their professional athletes. These DUI's are reality checks that they probably should get chauffers and leave their million dollar mobiles at home.
Not really too big of a deal but if I was a heat fan I would get frustrated with the guy so close to the playoffs. Don't really care much for the Heat or James Posey but thye Heat do not need any sort of distraction going into a first round series against the cavs
