I have less than zero compassion for any team the Blazers play that isn't at full strength. Teams playing at less than full strength is a fact of life in the NBA. And I honestly doubt any team has suffered from it more in the last 40 years than the Blazers. To quote a famous douche: "Tough shit". No asterisks are given. Play ball!
This game is a measuring stick for us. To see if we can at least hang with them when they're firing on all cylinders. Not complaining, rather, it's frustrating that we can't face these teams at full strength to get an idea of how we might perform if matched up in the playoffs.
Not sure they will be full strength in the playoffs. The Warriors pretty much won a championship on the backs of injured teams they played 3 years ago.
I can respect that, but at this point in the season and the situation we are in, I'll take an actual W over us playing well against a full healthy team and an L. Moral victories are for summer league.
That said, I think this team WITHOUT Curry is still better than us, so we need to bring it regardless.
Yeah they still got Durant, Thompson and Green. Just those three make it a tough matchup on any given night.
Plus, if they're starting Livingston, that's a lot of length for our backcourt to try to both score over and defend against. We're giving up several inches at nearly every position.
