This is not good...comments from Nash sometime during the first 2 days of the long weekend:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>We?re not playing for each other as much as we need to right now,? said Nash, who tied a career high with his 49th double-double of the season. ?We?re a little bit selfish, a little bit 'woe is me? right now. We have to be unselfish, work for the team and not worry about ourselves.?The ball is sticking (no movement) because people are worried they?re not going to get it back. One guy gets selfish, and the next guy says 'Well, he?s not passing? and he gets more reluctant to pass. That makes us not nearly the team we can be.</div>And there was a close door meeting between Amare and the coach before the Lakers game. They played well as a team yesterday so I don't expect it to be too much of an issue during the playoffs, but it's still something. Those comments are never good to hear.
I've noticed that too. The good part is Marion and Stoudemire have been getting along lately. I don't know if D'antoni said something or they just kind of made up.
Someone on the Arizona Sports board mentioned that it could have been that Amare hogged the ball a little bit during set plays when the ball was supposed to go to others and Marion was complaining because of his really bad month on offense. I don't blame Amare at all for that though. They need to get him the ball more than they do. It's crazy that some of our shooters get as many shots as our only inside scorer sometimes. He can be dominant so they need to start getting him the ball more. I believe they'll have it figured out. They looked good yesterday.
well I looked at Amare's field goal stat line the last couple of games and he's taking more shots aswell as not completing most of them.
The definition of field goal is a shot that is undisturbed by contact and landing on both feet after the shot is released. A shot that a player is fouled on isn't a field goal.
Amare's only real problem offensively is bobbling bounce passes from Nash, and not finishing easy 5ft hook shots in traffic. Otherwise he has been very good. I feel he should be getting more touches in normal post position, and a few more 15ft jumpshots (he has been money this year).
Yeah, what's the deal with him fumbling so many passes this year? Did he used to do it this much last time and I forgot or is this something new?
Chemistry means squat right now. The Suns are bored and the complaisance right now is leading to sluggish play. In 3 weeks no one will be even thinking anything like this, let alone saying it.

That's sort of the reason they may have been like this. they haven't proven anything so the regular season seems more pointless than usual. Now that they actually have the 2nd seed on the line they have been playing well.
Yeah when you get fouled on a shot, it's just voided unless you make it, then it's 1-1. But Amare needs to take better shots. He's not able to just fly into the lane and slam on everyone anymore.
