I don't think so. He put up amazing numbers before he was diagnosed. Without therapy. He'll be fine with professional help. Hell, the blazers have their own shrink.

Well when you put it like that....

I dunno. This isnt like a broken bone with a time table for healing.
Emotions and the mind are fickle.
Its good that he is able to talk about it. Thats a great first step.
But he cost cleveland and was the epicenter of confusion which caused players to continue goign he independant road rather than playing as a team.

I dont see any team wanting to pay much for a guy that might have an attack causing him to just walk out of a game and have an unknown timetable for his return.

I like Kevin Love and have always thought he'd be a great addition to this Blazers team. And for those of you saying he's not the answer. We've already got the answer his name is Damian Lillard so that question is pretty much irrelevant!

He drinks like a fish too?

Okay. Aside from the panic attacks, lets talk seriously about this.

What would you pin the blazers improved play on? Dames mvp game of late, sure. But what else?
I pin it on our improved defense.

How do you think Love would integrate his play into this team while maintaining thier top 10 defensive rating?
    I dont think its possible.

Now lets look at cleveland before love left.
One of the worst defenses in the league. They are also not nearly as good as years past, coinciding with a better defensive rating in years past.

Kevin love would make this team worse, much like melo made okc worse.

This team has enough outside shooting.
We are lacking that 2 way forward.

Unless love comes cheap. Like shedding meyers and tuerners contract cheap And understands he might come off the bench for 20-25 a night, i dont want him.

Mmm i think he ran with it. But wasnt the eoicenter or the start.

He went public with the confusion about love, but love created the confusion, whether he wanted to or not.
No doubt IT showed himself to not be a great teamate, but that exposure wouldnt have happened if love wouldnt have walked off the court and then never discussed it with his teamates.
IT madecit much bigger than it should have been, but it all still started with love.

Not everyone accepts it. My daughter in law has it whenever she has to drive. Now that is a hassle. I think Paxil is one of the meds used to treat it. I'm sure we'll see that ad on television along with the hundreds that occupy commercial spots these days.

I agree, we need a slashing athletic wing who can drain the 3, take it to the hoop, and play lockdown D on the perimeter:)

Please don't make fun of anxiety disorders. I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It is not fun at all. I won't go into details, but feel free to look it up and read about what that entails. Imagine taking all of the symptoms (and I'm assuming you did read about it) and multiplying them by 100. That is what it feels like. It made me really happy when Derozan shared his depression tendencies and made me happy when Love shared his anxiety problems. These things should be normal to talk about, and yet there is still a stigma behind it, and people like myself are afraid to talk about it in public. The more we can normalize completely natural problems, the sooner people who suffer from them can get help without feeling like a pariah.

Totally understand. That is kind of the problem though. You are a great dude. I can tell that by your posts (and how often you like my jokes... Haha). But, severe anxiety is nothing to laugh at. It feels real. I've spent the last 8 years of my life trying to understand how to deal with it and live a normal life. And people who suffer these symptoms are often really nice and empathetic people and don't want to bother others or bring them down in a day to day setting, so they put on a game face and never let anyone know.

    They=me.

We are winning in large part because of our improved defense, so no

Public speaking, which is a closely related problem, is the number one mental health issue, even above depression.

That's actually funny because I have no fear of public speaking, yet have severe anxiety problems. It's more the day to day things like breathing or feeling like your heart is going to explode.

I don't begrudge those that use medication. There is therapy that doesn't involve meds though.

In certain cases, humor is a type of acceptance, and I think that's the case here.

One of my colleagues is a longtime Psych professor, and he says that basically, there is no such thing as "normal." We all have things to deal with, so to some extent we all understand. That certainly doesn't mean that what you or Love or DeRozen's problems are more difficult than what I and others are going through. Nor does it mean we don't care. We do.

I don't want Love on the team for different reasons. I want to see Collins grow. It's fun to watch and I love rooting for him. He's got an edge that Love just doesn't have.
