Wait, did KingSpeed just high jack @HCP account or is this some kind of truce/pay off over a $100 bet? And also, why can't I see this post?
The only NBA Jersey I've ever cared to purchase (and I'm ancient enough to have witnessed them win the championship) and he "thanked" the blazer fans as an after thought. I don't want him to have any part in Dame and CJ and Nurk's future championship. I AM that bitter.
Uhhhhh, I'd prefer he didn't but I wouldn't care who was on the team if it came down to it. If we could trade our whole team and end up with Westbrook, Harden, Griffin etcetera I'll be fine if they win the championship.
I don't care if he was a Blazer or not. It's physically impossible for me to cheer for a team with Blake Griffin on it.
For as much as I hated LA, whenever I'd write about him I'd write "LMA". It's nice to be able to refer to him as LA now that he's not on the team.
I remember watching him consistently turn into a double team and lazily throwing up shots at the rim in the Memphis series refusing to use his patented fadeaway, not being invloved in team huddles, not speaking to anyone on the court, and then listening to him in the exit interview sarcastically saying “man that was a tough loss, I wish we coulda won” then laughing like it was a joke. After that point I knew he was as good as gone and that it was probably for the better because that ‘bitch-ass-ness’ can’t be in the leader of your basketball team if you want to win a championship. I’m also glad that everyone here on the forum seemingly saw that as well, I wasn’t a member then, but I remember being so frustrated nobody was calling him out on that shit or even seeing it on social media. It was painfully obvious he quit and was as good as gone yet the following months the majority of the fan base seemed to think he was returning. I don’t care much for his revisionist history of things because I saw it often up close and personal for nine years and he left a lot to be desired in the leadership and ‘buy-in’ department. Never came close to fully embracing the city, fan base, organization, or his teammates. For 9 fuckin years. That’s bitch made. The last thing I want to get off my chest on this subject is I hate when people act like him playing with that thumb injury was some heroic thing. His team was a legit contender in the western conference and he essentially had what was a badly jammed thumb. I remember Antonio Harvey saying as much. There was no chance for further damage and it was all about pain tolerance he wasn’t willing to bare for a full week until he saw we couldn’t win without him and played the hero role. That’s bull shit. Dame wouldn’t have missed a fuckin game with that injury. I wish him luck and happiness in life outside of basketball but I couldn’t care less for his success on the court. He’s the opposite of what Blazer fans love and for that reason I’m glad he’s on another team.
For the next Spurs game (in Portland) someone should bring a sign that say "Retire #12....for Rick Adelman"
Someone should photoshop a Lil' Penny version of LMA. "12" is begging to become "1/2". Caption it something like, "you're not half the man we needed."
Good Lord I never thought I'd see a day where @bodyman5000 and 1 was more emotionally mature than me. I AM SHOOK!
