No torch. Effort is a huge part of it. Another big part is continuity. I almost guarantee that people were trying hard last year as well. But the same group of guys are so used to each other that they know how to communicate better in defense.

Wait, what? They are both good players and offer different skill sets. Why pit one against the other? It's a team, my man. That's why we are winning right now. Everyone is playing together and like a team. Gtfo with that shit .

And you are really gong to complain about shit after a 9 game win streak? Really? Nurk is a huge part of our team and I hope that continues for years to come. No need to discount the coach or the other players who are balling out of their minds right now. Maybe you didn't watch the game, but Ed Davis was the reason for our victory over the Warriors.

Ed is out hustling him, every Time Ed is on the court he brings energy and is fighting for the ball, Nurkic doesn't do that cause he is a euro flopper. I like Ed 1000 Time more than Nurkic, Nurkic better step up his Game, because Ed right now is better than him

You don't like winning? Ed's 7 offensive rebounds were a huge part of this win. Those extra possessions are one of the keys to beating a team like GSW.

Ed and Nurk both played well, but if there is any player in the NBA that earns his minutes, it's Ed Davis.

As far as Stotts goes, his rotations have been spot on during this winning streak. He has consistently nailed who to play and when, when to go big and when to go small. He just seems to have the right players on the floor at the right time. In all his time in Portland, I think this winning streak has been his best work.

So, your favorite player only got 21 minutes? Tough shit, get over it. The team won and that's what matters. Ironically, as long as the team is winning, Nurk seems fine sharing playing time with Ed. He doesn't seem to be sulking and pouting like he did in DEN. He's still our starting center and seems to have matured as a player and as a teammate.

well if its a team, then he should cut Dames and CJs minutes and give it to Shabazz and Pat C, how about that

Everyone is playing the minutes they should right now. Stotts is doing a great job right now.

You are seriously bitching about playing time and the coach during a 9 game winning streak??? GTFO. Not cool, not cool at all. I doubt your favorite player would approve.

did Ed Davis played well, yes he did! did Nurk played well, yes he did!

Ed Davis finished the game with 10/15, but Nurk left the 3rd quarter with 10/11, so I mean, Ed Davis played great, we won, so you cant argue against the fact that coachs decision was the right one... but, that seems to me like he felt we had better chance with Ed Davis than with Nurk and I do found it kind of disrespecting to Nurk

when Ed Davis checked in at the 3rd quarter, he played well and in the 4th quarter too, but at some point, with like 5 or 6 min to go, you bring back your starting C who played well too, cause you know, HES YOUR FUCKING STARTING C!

if both of your players play well, you give advantage to your starting C, cause hes starting C for a reason FFS... if Nurk didnt play well, Id have no issues with it, but given he played well, I found it disrespecting to Nurk

although I dont show it on this board, Im one of his biggest critics... Im not saying these things cause hes Bosnian, but cause I feel it that way

If Shabazz or Pat were playing out of their backsides, and the team won, I'm sure most fans would be going "sweet, they won". not "man, Damian should've played more!"

I remember saying it was the lack of effort on the defensive end and that effort is a big part of what makes defense good, and people acting like I was ignorant of real basketball skill/ability.

There's not a lot keeping Damian or CJ away from being a good defender (at their positions). They're both athletic and fast and have the ability to defend. They just needed the drive to do it.

Will they struggle with post ups against taller players? Yeah...but so would players who are their height and DPOY caliber players who are 4-6" shorter than who he they're defending.

I never complained about Nurkics mpg, I complain about things like this... I know Ed Davis is having a great year and he deserves recognition, but when the coach prefers Ed Davis to Nurk in certain situations with no reason at all, sorry but I cant go past that... like I said, I found it disrespecting to Nurk

Nurk can cheer with the guys on the bench etc, but Im sure hes not happy when he sits the entire 4th quarter just cause coach prefers some other player... THERE WAS NO REASON TO SIT HIM THE ENTIRE 4TH QUARTER, NO REASON WHATSOEVER!

Careful with signing to keep “chemistry”. That is the reason we are financially crippled currently.
