I'm still partial to Bridges on MLK. Hasn't been "found" by the hipster crowd (yet).

Yes it is. Was there about a month ago and it’s still excellent.

Man, The best Pizza place in the country used to be maybe near you. Wally's Pizza in Wappinger Falls NY. I do not get a hit on google now though. Dang!

Word of Mouth Bistro is serious good eats. Corned Beef Hash is legit along with the Incredible Flying Biscuit.

Word of Mouth is crazy good. Only negative thing I can even remotely think of about it is that it’s located in Salem.

Yeah, and the fact that they're only open Wednesday-Sunday.

I hesitated to even bring Word Of Mouth up because it’s already tough enough to get into without adding new customers. But it’s worth every second of the wait......I’d love to try their cinnamon roll pancakes but I’m seriously worried they’d put me in a sugar coma....and as good as the corned beef hash is, the filet mignon hash is at least as good. Thankfully you can order both together........

Cameo Cafe is my favorite place to go. 82nd and Sandy(used to be one on 23rd and Burnside-ish as well). Just a greasy spoon no frills breakfast place. Huge portions for reasonable prices.

Great recommendation. Definitely not if you want white table clothes and fancy. Their pancakes are AMAZING!

First job was bussing tables, scrubbing toilets and cleaning floors at the Elmer's at Mall 205. One of the perqs was half-price on the pancake stack.

I was glad someone mentioned Gateway Breakfast House. Has Obama ever visited any of the other joints y'all mentioned? That should tell you something about the GBH.

Also, McCrae's Country Cafe out in Gresham is fantastic, if for nothing more than their 12-egg omelets.

What was it that made him stop there? The menu looks pretty normal. I'd ask if it was a historical joint, but at 114th St, is it still considered Portland? :)

Hands down, best pancakes in town. The hash browns and toast rock too.

Wife loves Screen Door. Long wait bums me out.

I accidentally posted in the wrong thread, so I will re-post it here.

Grandma's place is usually the best for me. She was from the deep south so she'd usually made grits, 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices of bacon, 2 links of sausage, buttered toast, and a tall glass of fresh cold milk for my breakfast.

She would have me mix my egg yolk with the grits and add a touch of butter and salt. Man, can she cook.

Ok, couldn't find a burger joint thread via search, but...

BURGERVILLE. THAT IS ALL. WHY CAN'T WE ALL HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN EVERY CITY IN THE USA?! GEEEEEEZ,

That place is what all other burger restaurants wish they could be.
GRITS man you had me at GRITS! I know most non-southerners don't get it but.......I LOVE GRITS!
