disagree....Nate McMillan ran our vets into the ground and would never play his bench big minutes....those were injury ridden teams...every team fights for home court advantage....Spurs just like anybody but nobody plays the bench more than the Spurs.....it's a formula that works for a reason....Ed is like the captain of the bigs

 

Individual points and rebounds are one thing, but it's about how those stats translate into the team winning. Nurk was a -2 last night. Ed was a +14.

It's the coaches job to recognize the match-ups that are providing a winning +/-. Stotts did the right thing by keeping Ed in. No question.

lets be honest, our bench is shit, last night they played amazing, but usually were not happy with them...

 

Stotts clearly made the right decision. Deal with it. Maybe, just maybe, he knows his players, the match ups, the flow of the game and his opponents better than you.

He has piloted his team to nine straight victories. If the Blazers keep winning, he will certainly be in the running for coach of the month. You picked a really odd time to go on your rant.

And how is calling the head coach a cunt when you don't get your way a sign of respect? I'm glad Nurk is much more mature and level headed than you.

Our bench is not shit. They are a huge reason the team has won nine games in a row. Ed Davis is 4th in the entire NBA in offensive rebounding percentage - not just 4th among bench players, 4th among everyone.

Shabazz Napier is 5th in the entire league in steal percentage.

Offensive rebounds and steals == extra possessions and that equates to wins.

Both of those guys are also extremely efficient scorers. Among the rotation players, they are first (Ed) and third (Shabazz) in true shooting percentage. They don't force up bad shots. They do what they do very well.

You don't need to shit all over our bench to try to make your man crush look better. Nurk is a good player and deserves to start, but every sucessful team needs a good bench. We are fortunate to have one. That makes me very happy. It should make you happy, too.

Im not sure I get the last part, who said anything about respect... I called him a cunt cause he deserved it, fuck him... its a common thing to insult coaches, players, refs, fans etc... by that logic, theres no mature people in Europe, cause we all do these things every fucking game!

Most teams have a traditional center, GS isn’t one of them. Nurk was key in beating them couple weeks ago but today Davis deserved to finish the game. Doesn’t mean anything going forward, except Stotts will go with the hot hand. I’m Nurk s biggest fan but I’d rather have this scenario than the robo rotations Terry would go with earlier in the season. I was just waiting for Aminu to check back in.

 

it wasnt the matchup thing, Stotts said it after the game
