No. Need Spurs to win so that they are in the 4/5 matchup. Don't want them to fall to 6th and face us with their full team.

Can't you make up for having no bench by playing your stars major minutes with no back to backs, esp in first round when they often have 2-3 days off between games?

Melo is a joke now. Westbrook can't carry his team with scoring. I like George a lot, but I just don't see it.

I don't know. I'd prefer they either play GS or Houston or not be in the playoffs at all. I think with laser focus, they could put a scare into those teams. I would become a fan of OKC in that situation. But I hope they miss altogether. That would be pretty sweet. After all, as HCP said at the beginning of the season, OKC has three players who demand a double team! Go Spurs!

Melo does not demand a double team anymore. We can single cover George with Evan Turner. We WANT Westbrook trying to go HAM.

Exactly. OKC does not scare me in the playoffs.

MIN (only with Butler) would scary me a lot more than OKC.

Paul Pierce shouldn't be an analyst then.

Most likely scenario. Kings are shit, but they play hard. Maybe they will steal one.

With tonights loss to the Thunder, the Spurs have lost 21 games on the road this year. So, here's an interesting stat. The last time the Spurs did not finish the season with an above .500 record on the road was the 1996-97 season.

That's 20 straight years of having a winning record on the road.

If they don't win 50 games this year, it'll be the first time they haven't won 50 games (or pro-rated 50 wins) since that season too.

We are one game in the standings away from having all 5 NW division teams in the playoffs, with GSW, HOU and NOP rounding it out. LAC is tied with UTH and DEN, while SAS is only one game up on those dudes.

I will be pretty happy if our game against SAS on the 2nd-to-last of the season knocks them out of the playoffs.

It doesn't make a strong case for the value of Popp bending to the will of a player (LMA), who in turn has a "career year," does it?

Careful, the "tie police" will try to correct you that those teams aren't really tied.

I didn't watch the Spurs v Thunder game, but Melo only had two points. Did he get hurt or something? They still won, but -13 is a pretty bad look.
