Are these players drafted or acquired for Terry’s schemes and style or can a Steve Kerr/Doc Rivers/Brad Stevens get more Or less out of this group? Just curious, what do you think?

Assuming you're talking about our current roster (?)

I think Stotts is just working with what he has. Personally don't see his schemes/style being a factor in personnel, but I could be wrong. He obviously is akin to a pressing offensive style, which would ideally lead to the same on D. Looking good on both fronts at this point...

Hard to say if a different coach would be able to get more out of our guys, but I trust in Stotts. Good food for thought though.

Blazers offense is designed around 2 guards taking (and making) a lot of shots, many of which have a high degree of difficulty. One thing I think something other coaches like Stevens, Pop etc doing is getting their team some easier shots at time. Portland for the most part gets very few fast break baskets which are some of the easiest in the game. Doing a little better as of late but still historically few on average.

Also, in their set offense, they get very few easy baskets off of lobs, back cuts or just play design. Dame and CJ help make up for that because they can get a bucket out of almost anything...but that doesn't help the rest of the team much.

I would say that the system helped Crabbe, just look at his 3p% this year compared to last. It seems to help Pat and Bazz as well.

I believe chief might also have his best offensive year. Et has clearly not benefited from it.

So, it probably depends if the player more or less fits in a system designed around Dame and CJ

I think Terry is basically a Net Zero coach - he has very little effect on the team in either direction. The times he actually coaches the team to a win are offset by the times his poor decisions (or just overly-simplistic schemes) lead to a loss.
With that said, there are probably only 5 coaches who have a net positive effect on their team.
