Been there many times. Yes, it's good. I've always enjoyed it, but I still can't compare it to the Original Pancake House.
There's nothing to start your day like a good hot breakfast. Three days a week I have to get up at 4 AM to go to an appointment. My wife gets up with me and fixes me an excellent hot breakfast. Makes 4 AM a tad better. It also reminds me of what a great wife I have.
Ah grits.....a Missouri friend turned me onto grits about 30 years ago and I have never understood why they’ve only recently become popular in this area. Mix in some good quality cheese and it’s heaven on earth. One of my favorite meals is the balls and polenta (Fancy name for grits) at 24th & Meatballs. Of course, shrimp and grits is good pretty much anywhere........
I was born in Atlanta. I've got dozens of cousins in Alabama and Georgia, one in Texas and one in Florida. My dad was from rural Alabama and my mother from Georgia. I can't stand grits. Whenever I'm in the South I ask for fried potatoes instead of grits. I like an over easy egg right on top of the potatoes to soak up the yolk.
So do I..... if I feel like eating mediocre food that makes me feel like I need to shit every 30 minutes....
One of the best places for breakfast was the Mt, Hood Cafe on about 165th and Division. They closed up several years ago, but the omelets were outrageous and on the weekends you had to wait in a line outside the place. The omelettes were gigantic.
It depends on the buffet, Mirage or Bellagio for breakfast is awesome, especially if you were partying the night before.
It really does depend on where you go and even more so as time goes by. There are fewer and fewer good buffets in Vegas and Reno every year.
Diane's on SE Foster, excellent old school diner. Maple Leaf also on SE Foster, also good. Diner that also serves chinese food.
