The Lakers (40-38) haven't beaten a team with a winning record since defeating Utah on Feb 26th. I'm not posting this here to downgrade the Lakers in any way, I just figured I would share it with you guys because I found it interesting.
There have been alot of games I think we should have won. (Like last night) The Lakers are 11-11 in games decided by 5 points or less. A majority of those have been recently. As a fan, it drives you crazy and it can be depressing. Another thing I have noticed lately is alot of the calls have not gone the Lakers way and while Kobe might get a bail out call once in a while in a game there are planty of situations where he is hacked with no call and the same with Lamar. I don't know....it just takes a toll. That with not playing good team defense=Losing games. Not to mention the missed freethrows, that really makes a difference, especially when you don't get that many in the first place. Which also leads me to the Lakers taking too many jumpshots. It is absolutely noticable. It's like they see a Zone and just get lazy and just start chucking shots and praying to god it goes in. We need to get back on the winning track fast before the playoffs start.
Not suprising. We have William parker as our pg and Brian cook in the rotation.I gotta give it to Lamar, he has been good lately. He has been our best defensive player this season (kobe has been average at best). Props on him.
I don't watch alot of Western Conference games since I am in the Atlantic Timezone....so I wouldn't exactly know....but why are the Lakers doing so badly right now? They have Lamar Odom back, right? What's up with them?

Much like the Warriors, their projected starting five has only played 16 games this year (and like the warriors they're 12-4 when their projected starting five plays)

The Lakers are only going to win playoff games in one of two ways. Kobe has one of his monster games which he can do at well or if they somehow get their teamplay back to where it was at the beggining of the season.
