In Trenton, NJ, the famous Yankee Joe DiMaggio visited a bar and burger place called Caesars whenever he was in town. They served a 1/2 lb. monster that carried their tradition decades beyond. I remember going there and actually finishing one. It was super fabulous. Belched for hours. They moved to the suburbs into Hamilton Twp, a 100,000+ populated town. The same great burger is still served. One thing New Jerseyians demand is good bread and Trenton/Caesers has that!
It's meh. I don't really get the hype. Way too much bun and the fries (this is going to piss people off) suck ass. Soggy and skin covered. I'd stab somebody for some burgerville right about now holy shit. When I lived there they used to have a Tillamook cheeseburger that was off the chain...and Oregon blackberry milkshakes. Can't beat a sack full of those little cheeseburgers with the sauce though.
Tillamook cheese is probably the reason their burger's are so good. Local ingredients. They have these new rosemary shoestring fries that are realllllly good too. On a related note, when is @theprunetang gonna start a cheese thread? After Tillamook cheddar, my personal favorite is Cougar Gold out of Wazzu. I hate the school, but their cheese is something else.
I really should start a cheese thread. I'm lazy though. Cougar Gold is a legit cheese though, even if it comes in a can.
I can respect laziness. Have you tried any of their other varieties? http://cougarcheese.wsu.edu/DirectionsWEB/webcart_category.php#CHEESE I could seriously fuck with some of those, even if it comes in a can.
I ate a Tillamook cheeseburger at Burgerville about a week ago so I'm going to assume that they still serve it. Very good, by the way. Don't forget to order you fries with no salt so they come hot and fresh.
I hope you ordered your fries with no salt. Although I eat them with no salt, you can always add salt at your table if you want it.
This stuff is amazing. I'm no aficionado but I'm pretty sure it's legit cheese too, despite it's 'spreadable' form. Pairs well with Ritz crackers and chocolate milk.
I hope you know that "Legit Cheese" must come with at least 10% real cheese by law. I think the number used to be 50% and then one of Trump's appointees changed it.
