When I worked at Tektronix in Beaverton, some of us went out for what we called Payday Dinner. This was every two weeks on a Friday. The Beaverton Giovannni's was the place we went to the most often.

By the way, Sublimity is part way out to our favorite campground in the 50s, Breitenbush, near Detroit Dam.

My sis took us to Mikey's pizza place in Mac when we were visiting this summer. We got some crazy pizza with onion rings, blue cheese, BBQ and bunch of other crap. It was pretty good actually.

    You're welcome.

Little Caesar had this pizza last year that had BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce and was topped with brisket and bacon. For a cheap pizza it was really good. Really good.

I am more of a calzone person myself. I would have mine prepared at Leonardi's (right by Winco) when I lived in Corvallis. Take and bake.

Back in the day, we would get a take and bake calzone from Papa Murphy's.

DeNicola's also made an awesome calzone.

Pizza places I liked for the pizza: Escape From New York Pizza and New York, NY Pizza (sadly it shut down a while back).

Nostrana (and it’s offshoot, Oven & Shaker)
    Appizza Scholls
    Ken’s Artisan
    Life Of Pie
    Lovely’s 50/50
    Tastebud

And still one of my all time favorite pizzas, The Abby’s Special (hopefully washed down with a pitcher of Henry’s Dark....if that’s even brewed anymore)

Mikey’s ain’t bad. They make sure their sauce is noticed, though. There’s some serious spice there!

Mac has a shit-ton of great restaurants for a place of its size. You’d better ask somebody!

If it's the place I'm thinking of, it's no wonder. It's right on the Hwy to Spirit Mountain, home of the worst buffet for miles around.

There's a Roundtable on Boonesferry rd.in Lake Oswego that has excellent pizza. Great atmosphere, too. It's close to La Provence.

I dunno. Haven’t had SM’s buffet, but it can’t be worse than the one at Chinook Winds. But 3rd Street in Mac is always on the “best Main Streets” in some serious publications because the number of bomb restaurants there.

You're right. I forgot about Chinook Winds. Now, I'm sick at my stomach.
