Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Took the whole season pretty much, but Rockets now hold homecourt advantage in the first round. Of course it's only a 1/2 game lead and ultimately they will need to beat the Jazz in their next matchup to secure the spot, but right now the Rockets are in a very nice position. Nice to see both stars healthy and playing great as well.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Yeah just saw the game results against Seattle, this was a needed-win for us. I can't believe how badly Utah lost to GSW though, they just got mauled! I hope the Rockets can take advantage of the last few games of the season. I heard that Utah got a pretty hard schedule lined up compared to Houston. Who are both teams going to be taking on before the playoffs?
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Houston: Portland, New Orleans, Phoenix, UtahUtah: Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, Portland, HoustonRockets definately have an easier schedule, but Utah does have an extra game. It'll likely come down to the last game of the season to decide homecourt advantage.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! I'm pretty sure we'll beat Portland, I'm kinda worried about goin up against the Hornets though, I don't think we've beat em at all this year. Phoenix.. I guess the last game will decide home court.Oh has anyone got any news on Bonzi? I thought something like this would happen, any updates on him?
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! This is great! The Rockets deserve it! They should have gone deep into the playoffs back in 2005, but they should make up for it this year. Hell, I think the Rockets can take out Dallas in the second round. It could be Houston-San Antonio in the WCF.lol getting ahead of myself but im just tryin to be positive.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! ^Easily beat GS...sure, but they won't be there.Easily beat Dallas? Based on what? The best the Rockets can hope for is game 7, and if it gets that far...than who knows, anything can happen.I just can't believe either of you two could wright off Dallas so easily...all they did was win 63, and counting, games, and have the probably MVP candidate....yeah, the Rockets should sweep them.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! This cant happen I thought. If you already have the Mavs and Spurs in the top 4, how could you have 3 teams of the same division in the top 4. I thought if you win your division you automatically get atleast one series to play at home?

Utah is there becuase of their division while Houston has a better record so they get homecourt. Houston might as well have 4th seed. Also, this is great news for Houston. This is gonna be the best first round matchup other than arguebely Miami/Cleveland. I stand by the Rockets winning this series, however I can't see them even forcing a game 7 against Dallas. The Mavs have too many weapons and will control the pace of the game.

They are the best team in the entire league...Theres no way that you would easily beat them, and I definitely dont think that you would beat them anyways. What a dumb statement.

With the way they defend and have a very conservative and slow paced offense, there is no way Dallas will run them out of the arena. If these 2 teams meet in the playoffs, the tempo will be at a pace the Rockets CAN win the series. They pushed the mavs to 7 games 2 years back, have 2 superstar players, top toer defense, and a great cast of role players. If they give Dallas all the trouble in the world and possibly beat them, I wouldn't be all that surprised.

When he turn that nob, he is a top tier NBA defender. When he's worried about offense and his lingering back, he's a near-liability.

What he HAS shown he can do, and what will be very important vs the Mavs, is be one of Dirk's toughest defenders in the league. Everytime he is on Dirk he gives him major problems due to length and athleticism.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Utah still has the 4th seed because they are division Champs. The Rockets have home-court though. And I really hope they can make the 2nd round and bring the Yao Ming dominance to the Mavs.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! They are actually still 5th seed, jazz are still 4th. But yeah, they have homecourt now.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! With their win over the Suns today (120-117), The Rox finally clinched homecourt for sure.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Yep, and they did it in very impressive fashion with a win over the Suns. These past 5 games or so is the first time Yao and T-Mac have ever truly clicked with some amazing games from both of them. This is a VERY scary team come playoff time. If only we had a different PG...
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! OR if JVG had at least developed Hercules. Don't you think he could at least have backed up Rafer if he was given good enough time to develop and play?

John Lucas III could play the SG if not for T-Mac position, but not starting PG material. Spanoulis is decent, but will never be a great PG. The Rockets need someone like Bob Sura. He was great 2 years back. he was a fantastic defender, could score some points, and let T-Mac be in his natural position of scorer. He was disciplined and was just a perfect JVG PG.
Re: Rockets Now 4th Seed!! Too bad his career is practically over. Is there any1 in the draft for next season that we could get or is there already someone in the league we can trade for?Which position do you think is more important for the Rockets to take care of: Point or Power forward?
