There it is. The common retort. Let's do nothing!

Did you automatically just fall back into the usual gun control retort without realizing that this is a thread trying to disprove the idea of arming teachers?

The whole idea is to arm teachers to try to prevent the severity of school shootings. That's doing SOMETHING.

Isn't my turn to say, "you'r right. Let's do nothing."

It came across in your posts that you were saying.
One single crazy teacher not being responsible with their guns isn't a big deal.

Sorry, but the fact that he's a cop trumps the fact that he's also a teacher. That detail is much more important than the fact that he teaches.

Again. I have really no interest in talking about this specific shooting.

Logic like the bolded always gets turned around on anti-gun people.
Now that it's been turned around on you, and you don't have a response for it....
How about actually engaging in a conversation rather than crossing your arms and stomping your feet?
Doesn't have to be with me.

Okay, let me throw a favorite logic of anti-gun people at you.

"But if it saves even one life, it was worth it!"

The chances you'll be threatened with a gun are so much higher than the chances you'll save a life with a gun or someone with a gun will save your life...it's not even close....I've been in countries where children have AK 47s.....if you think they make Afghanistan safer...you're wrong...it's not guns alone that are a huge problem...it's the capacity of the modern automatic weapons and large magazines that change the game...personally I think handguns are a true problem in the US....they are used against people almost exclusively....I own guns and can have the discussion about not needing them..I do believe the world would be better off to not have all these weapons of war about

Saving one life is a bad thing? Wonder how you would feel if that life was your kids?

That would probably be a good idea, frankly. There is a lot of evidence now that cops do not use their weapons responsibly.
