Does anybody know anything about the reliability of these? I am probably going to get one, but I don't want it to be all messed up or something. Anybody have one or know somebody who does? Does it work just like a normal one?

I am positive that they are in perfect working condition, especially if you get it off the Apple website. Refurbrished means they are 100 percent fixed after being sent in because they were broken. I would buy one if they are cheap and you have the chance.

The value is determined by the price I guess. If they're cheap I'd go for it. Otherwise I'd just buy new.

Ya it really depends on the price difference between a new one. I bought a refurbished Palm online and I used it for over a year no prob until I got a new phone.

I bought one. It's exactly the same as a newer one..no difference at all. I would definitely buy one again, it's worth the price savings..ya just don't get the same box...but get everything you need.I washed mine in the washing machine tho so it dosen't work. :(You get a 1 year warranty with it from Apple as well. That is a big incentive to a lot of people.
