ESPN’s news coverage of the game last night was all about LeBron’s dunk. Lost in all the hullabaloo was the tiny little fact that Portland extended its league-leading win streak and is the hottest team in the NBA. I hate ESPN and their ridiculous so-called news stories, and their platform for that idiot Stephen A. Smith and all the rest of those clowns.
At least they have slowed down on the ALL BALL ALL the TIME crap. But you are right. Thee still suck.
There is a easy way to deal with this... DON'T WATCH that crap! I've intentionally gone to other sources for my sports news. It's so much better. ESPN panders to what they know will generate conversation. I don't blame them in the least - as it's a smart business decision. I can't stand it & thus refuse to watch their $#!% show.
I havent watched anything ESPN unless its a replay of a college baseball game or something that has low viewerability or doesn't show a game just to talk about something other than the game. The replay tab on watchespn.com is awesome for finding the non-spin type of games.
even nba tv last night was talking about the cavs losing more-so than the blazers winning 11 in a row. hell, they are giving more coverage to toronto and their streak is less than ours. and look who we have beat in our streak!
Just curious why any fan cares if the Blazers are being talked about nationally? If it was college football or a sport where you need to be recognized nationally to get into the playoffs then I could understand but in the NBA only your record matters. I kind of like when they stay under the radar.
Because its nice to be recognized? Being talked about as being great goes a long ways towards confidence boosting. Not saying we are lacking in confidence, but it sure cant hurt.
All these sites are prepping for Lebron the decision part 3...it's a Lebron stroke fest especially in the big markets
Because national exposure/recognition arguably has an impact on other players' interest/desire in playing here in the future.
Am I crazy for thinking that dunk really wasn't that spectacular? I guess it amplifies because LeBron is so old now, but it really wasn't something that wowed me.
It was the power and quickness. I had to rewind to watch it cause at first I thought he tossed it up and missed it it happened so quick.
You think a tomahawk jam is unreal? Why? This is unreal This is unreal This is unreal What LeBron did was not "unreal."
Rich Eisen mentioned us (and MVP candidate Damian Lillard) again today on his show. That's like 3 mentions in one week on his show.
