This one's an interesting one. First, their base is in the NW, so there are probably more Freddie's customers (my mom worked for them for 35 years) that like this political statement than not. (And don't get me wrong, this is absolutely a political statement). But it seemed like a hedge. Any company can, at any time, change their business model and product line. And if Freddie's were to say something like "due to declining sales/market share/whatever with our firearms and sporting division, we're getting out of the firearms sales game and focusing on our other business units", I don't think there would be much of a ripple. Shareholder value trumps (no pun intended) a lot of things in business decision-making. But to say specifically that a) it's due to Parkland, and b) they're getting rid of magazines with pictures of weapons in them, is a political statement. Which, again, may work out well since they're in a very "blue" part of the country. But I don't think that the ones that sold weapons were. Freddie's hasn't stopped having Newsweek on the shelves near the checkout counter even with its plummeting market share, quality of writing and poor sales. But if you're going to do that, why bring up "declining sales"? Which one is it? It'll be interesting to watch...
Geez, caught red handed. Can't get away with anything in here. Never understood why they didn't make other kinds. In any case, a Reuben sandwich, a coke and a Mrs. Neuschin dill pickle were alll it took to make the world a pleasant place to be in.
Yeah so now it takes two stops to buy everything. Fred Meyers for food, electronics, and jewelry and then a gun store for guns and hopefully sexy gun magazines. No biggie
Oh, you want Safeway in California. I went to a Safeway in Northern Cal. and while searching for some grocery items came across a liquor cabinet with guns mounted on a rack right behind the clerk. There you have it, guns and liquor at the same time. All that's missing are young girls.
Not at Safeway. They only deal in liquor and guns. But I'll bet they can direct you to a good porn store. I'll bet the porn store can direct you to young girls.
Fuck no these kids today have no idea. Does a teenager today hide his Ipad in the firewood under the deck like I hid my magazines? I don't think so
