Great article on the expansion of Lillard Time to him passing to Aminu and Turner in the clutch vs Cleveland: http://www.nbcsports.com/northwest/...-trust-teammates-lillard-time-expands-blazers
I feel like it's a bit of a catch-22. Yeah, it worked out great, because the shots went down. But I know you remember many of the criticisms of LeBron (among others) early in his career, where he "trusted his teammates" like Donyell Marshall, who bricked wide-open 3s to lose games. And people said "Why are you passing, LeBron? Are you scared to take those shots?" I'm glad we're winning, I'm glad it's working out and I'm glad we're getting positive publicity. But I caution against use of the "look, he's awesome, he passes to teammates who make shots!" narrative.
That was somewhat different. LeBron was right there at the basket and instead of powering it in which we knew he could do and had seen him do before, he dished it off to Marshall in the corner when only 2 points were needed. It was so weird. We had seen him dominate in 2007 ECF and wasn't sure why he wasn't doing that in this situation.
No thanks....... I'll live and die with Dame taking the shots no matter what the situation thank you.
