Okay, some of these arent true cause theya ren still based on whether or not players stay...which we know now some are and some arent...but mostly its pretty accurate IMO. Really, either of the top 5 teams could be #1 IMO.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2825071
21 is way, way too low for A&M. We might not be top 10 or whatever, but we should be in the top 15 at least. It also looks like he jumped the gun on Gillispie, not that we all didn't.
I hope Arizona starts the season unranked. The past couple years have seen Arizona start with a high rank based on name recognition and it has gotten to several players' heads. A nice NR next to Arizona would keep their egos in check and give them something to prove.
The rankings look pretty good I guess. I just have a few things that I think are wrong.Mississipi State 24? What is up with that?Duke is very overrated they weren't even that good of a team last season and they got a six seed in the tounry and lose in the first round. I also think that the Trojians should be a bit higher with the players they have and the ones that are coming. Kansas State also in my mind is a bit to high. The Zags who came off the disappointing season last year after losing Adam Morrison but this season they will probaly come back and have a strong season. With some of the top stars leaving it's going to be a bit different. Though with a great freshman class coming in it might even have some better players than it did last season.

Last season we had good enough talent to be a final four team but we played like we didn't give a sh*t what happened and we ended up being a huge disapointment. This season we have Chase Budinger returning who could be a first team all american, jawan mclellan will be back and unless he continues his shooting slump from the 2nd half of last season he could be a 17-20ppg guy, Jerryd Bayless who could have as good of a freshmen season as Chase did, and the third highest ranekd recruiting class in the nation. Also I think Jordan Hill will have a very solid season and suprise a lot of people based on how he played in the 2nd half of the season. I'm not saying we will be a top 10 team in the league or anything next season but I think we easily have the talent to be a top 25 team in the league. If we actually play with some passion this season and bother on defense we will easily be in the top 25. However both of those are big if's

Watch out for Michigan State this year. They don't lose anyone, plus three top 50 recruits in Chris Allen, Durrell Summers, and Kalin Lucas. Plus, Neitzel's a senior, Gray, Walton, Morgan, and the rest of the young guys are a year older. Lastly, we get Tom Herzog back, the 7th best center in the class of 2006, who redshirted this season.
Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that they make preseason rankings this early? They aren't 100% sure who's going and staying, which coaches will move, and a lot of high schoolers are still undecided.
No..its not..we know mostly whos probably staying or leaving..and in college, your team oesnt change that much...not too early.
WTF?Two things: Butler and I.U. are wayyy to low. Butler made the Sweet Sixteen and returns 5 of their top 6 scorers as well as bringing in one of the best point guards in Indiana. If D.J. White stays? He has to stay. Why would he pass up I.U. for the NBA? He has a shot at a national title and a chance to play with Eric Gordon. I.U. also brings in several big recruits along with Gordon. He is really underestimating the Indiana teams.

I bet about half of those teams aren't in the top 25 by the end of the year.

Yeah, because players never leave after 1-2 years for the NBA right? Nobody ever transfers, right? No HS senior changes their mind on which college they go to, right? No coaches leave or get fired, right?

Of course Florida, and possibly Ohio St will be entirly different...but you dont see Florida up there. I think its pretty good rankings...and anyways, its tourney rankings arent they? Just something fun to look at, your an idiot if you take this too seriously...just a rough draft of the next season.

Players leave for the draft every year, things change a lot. And another thing, these guys don't know exactly how well these incoming freshman will do in year 1. Don't call me an idiot, by the way, just because I think it's way too early to put out rankings.
I found it funny that last season the preseason #1, Florida, beat the preseason #2, Ohio, in the championship. Such a suspenseful year
I dont see where I called you a idiot...I if it seemed that way, I didnt mean it...towards you atleast.
