who does everyone want the sixers to take in the draft? when they were really bad I was praying for Durant but obviously that will not happen, I'm hoping for Corey Brewer, Julian Wright, Jeff Green or Acie Law but the projected picks are Ty Lawson and Mike Conley, both of which I cannot stand
Well they probably need a power forward the most. For the most part, they have a young and developing lineup in Iguodala and Dalembert. Andre Miller is no young gun but hes is more than capable of dishing the ball to the open or hot hand. Kyle Korver and Willie Green are pretty decent enough to use at the 2. And with Steven Hunter not improving his game at all, I could honestly see the Sixers taking Joakim Noah and maybe Roy Hibbert althought I believe that Noah will fit that team more. What may turn them off about Noah is that he is not a scorer and that is something they lack on that team- a player with the ability to score at any given time. Iguodala is a pretty all around guy but hes not someone you can always rely on for points night in and night out.
Well, right now they currently are three games back for the eighth seed out in the East. So things have changed so they aren't going to get the picks that most of the 76ers fans thought that they were going to get.
If the sixers take Joakim Noah, I will NOT be a sixers fan ever ever ever ever again from that moment, swear to god.Now for who they should selected.. hmm I would not mind Roy Hibbert or Julian Wright at alll, there fine players and are perfect for the sixers.
We still got the 7th worse record in the league there is still like a 7% shot at the #1 pick, and better for #2. If we can maybe get 3 for Brandon Wright PF would be great. They did NHL thing to see who picks when, and a team moved up a few days ago from 5th worse to #1 pick.It is still possible now I suggest we start losing the last few.And no way should we get Noah so overrated.
I agree... I'm not really a big fan of Noah. I think Dalembert has matured to the point where he'll be fine anchoring our defense in the future. Our biggest needs are a scoring/rebounding power forward, and a point or combo guard. As long as we fulfill those two needs, I'm happy.

GEEZ :ranting:
I really would like the selection of a guy like Acie Law. I feel that the Sixers need a good PG/SG on their team....They have a few guys at the position, but none that I feel will ever develope in to anything great down the line (im counting Iggy as a SF as well as Carney). They could either go with Acie, or a PF that can be physical, get rebounds, and somebody who has a good offensive game. That is why I feel Horford would be a pretty good selection...Horford or Law IMO.
I think they will take Yi. Billy King really likes him alot, and from some stuff I saw about him, he looks pretty good.
Yeah but we'll most likely pick in the 9-11 range and Yi will probably be picke dby then. I'm really hoping we can grab Mike Conley. I would love to see a player like Conley running this team in a few years. As for the other 3 picks I haven't really thought about what I want us to do yet.

If we don't pick up a young point guard, he'll be a Sixer for a while.Williams will probably end up being our back-up point guard down the line... I don't see him ending up as a starter on our team at all.Ollie will be gone when his contract is up since we can't find any takers for him.Green is a SG in a PG body. He's a poor man's version of Iverson. Keep him at SG.

And I am sure practicing with Iverson, and watching him play they are also friends helped him a lot.
Conley, orgasmic. If we picked him he would totally be running the entire team in a couple years. I want him.I wouldn't terribly mind yi either.

He hasn't shown he can actually lead a team or play like a true PG. Unless he can become a 30 ppg scorer like AI which he won't I want a player like Conley running our offense.

I really think he just needs more playing time, and he will show what he can do he needs consistent minutes or it is hard to get your rythem.
