Re: Grant Hill's Future What is Grant Hill's future?Magic shooting guard Grant Hill told the Sentinel after Wednesday?s shootaround that there?s still a possibility he could retire after the season.Asked if he would return next season to play for the Magic, Hill said, "I don?t know. I just don?t know. I?ll take some time (after the season) and see where I?m at." I?m just trying to enjoy the moment, trying to stay in the present. I?m having fun."Hill, who is in the final year of a seven-year, $92-million contract, said he has all but ruled out joining another team next season that is closer than the Magic to contending. He inferred that he'd either play for the Magic or hang up his sneakers.Hill, 34, said the biggest factor in his retirement consideration is his well-documented physical condition. He has undergone five surgeries on his left ankle and a surgery to repair a hernia last season. "It?s a factor, definitely," he said.As he watched ESPN basketball commentator Bill Walton --- a former college and NBA star ---limp across the floor on the Detroit Pistons home court, Hill shook his head. Walton?s pro career was limited by a series of foot injuries that required several surgeries. "I don?t want to walk like that," Hill said.http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_ma..._hill_hasn.html
Re: Grant Hill's Future Grant Hill is a legend .. I just don't wan't to see him retire yet, I just love watching grant play, it is really amazing to watch but hey if he can't take anymore then im fine with him retiring.
Re: Grant Hill's Future With his contract being up at the end of this season, I think him retiring would be the best Idea. With his ankles and everything else that he has had problems with, he should start to think about taking it easy and just enjoying. If he doesn't retire, it would be nice if Orlando could sign him to a smaller deal with just 2 years or so on his contract. His veteran leadership would still be nice with Orlando, allthough I dont know how much longer Orlando will need it.
