You're definitely overrating the Jazz. 3rd: POR 51-31 4th: SAS 49-34 5th: MIN 48-34 6th: OKC 48-34 7th: UTA 47-35 8th: NOP 47-35
IDK Jazz have to be favored in all of their home games. Only reason why I have them dropping to GSW @ home. I figure GSW will be playing everyone but Curry @ that time in prep for round 1. If GSW isn't ready they're going to get blown out by Utah again. I'd favor them over Minn & Lakers on the road. @Portland I could see them losing, but... I don't think Portland will be playing everyone at this time.
Minnesota are out of the race for 3rd already, they won't go above us. So it's basically Thunder, Pelicans and us who can finish in the top 4. We have this sorted.
In key games tonight, FiveThirtyEight has POR as 1 point underdogs at NOP, SAS as 1 point underdogs at WAS and DEN as 10 point underdogs at TOR. Time to defy the odds again. POR was 3 point underdogs in their last two road games (@LAC and @OKC) and won them both. The team has currently won 6 stright road games. Let's keep that streak going! BNM
If a home team is .500 or above they nearly always are considered the "favorite". A one point underdog is pretty much a draw. So let's draw in Pelican blood tonight!
Our magic number to clinch a playoff seed is the sum of our wins + Nuggets losses. It currently stands at 3. If we win and they lose tonight, we can clinch a spot tomorrow with a win in Memphis.
Not really. Just waiting for them to be mathematically eliminated so we can wish them a happy summer. BNM
I'm really surprised how quickly they gave up on trying to make Nurk and Jokic work together. Jokic plays much more on the perimeter than a tradition center on offense, but offers zero rim protection on defense. I guess his slow foot speed makes it impossible for him to guard opposing stretch 4s, but you think they could have figured something out, even if it meant staggered substitution patterns. So, they went out and got Paul Millsap, who in addition to being old, injured and outrageously expensive also doesn't appear to be a great fit next to Jokic. And they still haven't addressed their PG issue. With Jokic playing point center, they don't need a great distributor running the point. Murray can score OK, but he can't guard opposing point guards. With their lack of rim protection, they really need a PG that can stop the ball at the point of attack. Murray would be much better suited as a 6th man scorer off the bench type of player. I can't believe all the "experts" picked them to finish ahead of the Blazers this year. I pointed out these exact same issues prior to the start of the season. Nothing has changed. They are who I thought they were. BNM
Blazers have 45 wins. If they only win 5 more, that's 50 not 51. Also- Rockets will likely rest their stars by the time we play them. And even if they don't, I see us finally getting a win against them.
Hey buddy I understand counting isn't your thing but. Pelicans, Grizz 2x, Clippers, Mavs & Nuggets is 6 games. Try using your fingers next time. Bye.
