BTW, I love your new avatar pic. Every time I see it it reminds me of the four times we beat OKC this season. BNM
No. We would clinch a tie with LAC and DEN at the very worst. If the Clippers lose, we'd simply need two more wins.
Who cares? When you're winning you don't look behind you. You control your own fate. What I want to know is when are we going to clinch the 2nd seed. BNM
We need to take care of business and win these next 4. They are our four easiest remaining games and winning all four would get us to 50-28, with four games left and a worst case 50-32 final record. Everyone behind us, except OKC, already has 32 losses. OKC has 31 losses and plays @SAS on Thursday. They also have games @NOP and @HOU, as well as hosting GSW in between. By then, GSW will have both Durant, Green and possibly Thompson back and may want to start tuning up for the playoffs. Plus we own the tie braked against OKC. No way can all of OKC, SAS, NOP and UTA win out. UTA has the easiest remaining schedule, but they still play BOS, GSW and @POR. The others all play each other and someone has to lose those head to head matchups. Of course if we win these next four and beat DEN on APR-9, it won't matter. That would get us to 51-31 worst case and would clinch the 3rd seed for us (if we haven't already clinched it by then). BNM
We could clinch as early as APR-3 if we win our next four, OKC loses to SAS, UTA loses to BOS and SAS loses to HOU. BNM
Yup.. those 8 games should happen exactly as we want them to. Right. Didn't you say it's gonna come down to the last day of the season? So which statement was you talking out of your ass?
With 2 weeks remaining, everything is still up in the air. I think the Blazers can lock up the 3 seed before the final game, if they're able to win their next 3, and then just 1 more road game. Looking like Pels or Wolves in the 6 seed, I think. The Clippers have remained surprisingly relevant through their incredibly tough road stretch, and with 5 of their final 7 at home, they still have a shot at the 8 seed. The Nuggets, however, I'd argue are just about out of it.
At Denver could be tough, altitude at the end of 4-game road trip, could see fatigue. I see SA game as winnable. I would not rule out Houston, they played nose to nose and may want a statement game; also with #1 seed locked Houston may be resting players.
Very true. I hesitated projecting that as a win initially, but the way the Nugs have been playing lately, I'm hoping for the best on that one.
Way to go Spurs. Now we need Cavs to beat Pels, Nuggs to beat Thunder, and Rockets to beat Spurs. Then we lock up the third seed on Tuesday.
