?

On a scale of 1-10, how badly will the absence of Moe hurt the Blazers, coming down the stretch run?

That's right. Whenever Dame and CJ are hot in the fourth quarter, he always pulls them out of the game.

Everyone except Dame and CJ, for obvious reasons. I shouldn't even have to mention those two.

I know that voices of caution are generally not preferred on nights like tonight, but....

Shabazz has had about 20 games this year like WB4 had tonight. And he's had some stinkers.
Pat has a couple years' worth of knowledge of the defense.
We missed 11 FTs tonight. They shot 57% from 3.

This is a "chalk one up and move on," 3rd-in-4 Special. It's why we play the games.

Now, if you want to say that this is further proof that Chief, ET and Pat shouldn't get quality minutes, you have some ammo tonight.
If you want to say WB4 should be playing every minute Shabazz played, not sure that stands up.
If you want to wonder why our 3rd-Man-of-the-Big-3 went 5-6 while Chief, ET and Pat went 5-23, I'm wondering that also.

Get Well Soon, Moe. Get back soon, Dame. Rest up, everyone else. Brush yo' shoulders off, and hit the Clips hard FRI.

I'm not trying to hate on Wade Baldwin, because I am actually very intrigued by him, but some of you guys need to calm the hell down. Remember that Jake Layman guy?

Well, we were without two starters and they hit some big shots. It's bound to happen. There are no gimmes in this league. Let's bounce back, win the next three and lock up the third seed. Come back, Dame.

I think Nurk should have gotten some touches. No one other than Dame can utilize him in the pick and roll though. They benched Gasol and had no one that could guard Nurk.

Definitely. Come playoff time, no one will care about this loss except for the haters.

This is OK. Team looked both mentally and physically exhausted. Defensive rotations weren't there. Making stupid reads on offense. When has this team ever missed 11 FTs? just not our night

I wanted us to rest CJ/Nurk tonight and roll with all young dudes. 3rd game in four nights after a tough matchup last night and missing two key starters is just a recipe for disaster.

Connaughton is shooting 29% since the all star break. 22% from three.

But yeah keep him out there he knows all the plays!

I'm not defending it, nor am I saying it was the wrong move.
I can see both sides of the argument for leaving him in, and taking him out.

At the end of the day I can't fault Stotts for his decision because I can see the logic of both ways.

But lets be very clear. Offense is not why we lost the game.
Memphis was 7-10 from three in the first half. Finishing the game 13-23 from three.
Portland did not play good enough defense to win.
There was really only one player running his man off the line and that was Zach Collins.
Everyone else just watched, as Memphis hit three after three after three.

It is Sly, and I know human nature sets in, but this one shouldn't have been this hard. To me what is mind boggling, is where have Shabazz and Pat's game gone?

Layman had his big game in garbage time. Baldwin did it in a playoff race.

This team has no idea how to get Nurk involved without Dame running a pick and roll.

Against a D-League level team that is trying to lose games. No better competition.

Freethrow shooting in clutchtime was horrific as well.

The coach sat Gasol for most of the 4th quarter and he is their one lone remaining decent player.
