They didn’t want him looking like a super hero.

    You're thinking of Brian Grant.

This is horrible. I was looking forward to Embiid in playoffs. They've been playing so well. Hopefully he's better by the 14th.

I'm pretty sure he'll be fine. He'll probably have to play with a facial mask, but he should be okay by the playoffs.

Bad luck? Some might call it karma given all the fucking tanking they've done to get those high draft picks.

You sure about that? Malone elbowed Grant in the mouth, but I don't think he broke his eye socket.

I remember it being the same series where Duck got his hand broken on a jump shot, where no foul was called.

It's actually pretty funny because that in no way is a flop by today's standards. But back then people were shaking their heads.

Malone elbowed Grant above the eye. He didn't break his eye socket. I don't believe Malone ever injured Buck.

Memories are funny things, but as I recall (I was at that game) Malone came down and purposely elbowed Grant on the way down, opening a cut over his eye? I don't recall a broken cheek bone at all. Maybe he did the same to Buck, IDK.

It's been a long time, and oddly, my memory is equally far removed from being very good, but I could've sworn Malone injured (as much as granite can be chipped) Buck. Isn't that when Buck started wearing goggles?

Malone definitely threw some nasty elbows at Grant in that series. Grant was one tough SOB to not back down or be intimidated.
