Collins reminds me of a mix of LeBron, Duncan, and Kareem, but with a higher upside . . .

Getthefuckouttahere. He doesn't remind me of anybody yet, because he's just lately starting to look like he's a contributor.

If I squint hard enough I can see a raw Pau

Honestly, I completely disagree. Precisely because he hasn't developed there are holes in our knowledge of him, so we can fit
him into the mold of another player. Current vets are rarely compared to other players.

CJ is CJ, he's not really like another player. Ditto for LeBron, ditto for Biebs, ditto for Dame, ditto for everyone.

So, until I find out differently, Collins is like Duncan, period.

He reminds me of Zach Collins and not Chambers. They don't look alike nor play alike, IMHO.

Don't get me wrong 'cause I liked Detlef, but Collins is going to be better.

Solid at everything. Great fundamentals. Can pass, shoot, drive, but isn't amazing at any one thing. Excellent starter.

Could it have something to do with the skin? Just curious.

Ain't nothin' wrong with that! That said, I think it's a realistic ceiling.

At first I thought his ceiling was a prime Ibaka, but I think he will be able to create more off the dribble and have some inside/out game.

I could see him being like 2005 Lamar Odom. Who I thought was one of the most under appreciated players in the league at that time.

I just disagree that he's AK-47. That guy was like the small forward version of CP3 in his prime.

in his prime he wasn't 20, with one year of backup college experience..but it's all good...Zach is a quick study...he's picked up the NBA game quickly and his game does remind me of AK47's but at this stage of his career....it's all projection anyway...his footwork is smooth..guy has great timing and balance...as someone said...he's a young Zach Collins.

    because he's white?

He reminds me a whole lot of young Sheed & young LA. Nearly identical measurables, 4/5 versatility, can defend the post but agile enough to step outside and bother a wing as well. More apt to take a perfect form open jumper or fade off the dribble then go with a power move on the block. Makes a lot of good fundamental basketball plays indicating he's well coached and tuned into whats going on (anti-Meyers).

Not sure who he reminds me of but I love that he has played so well as a 20 year old rookie that the idea of someone in 20 years saying, "He reminds me of Zach Collins" about an up and coming player isn't out of the question.

It will be interesting how his role with the team changes as he develops. Can he be a number 2 go to player or take on the number one role when the actual number is on the bench?

I once compared Michael Jordan to an entire list of black basketball players....guilty as charged. Guess I should always include at least one Asian...one Hispanic..etc
