After a victory over the Lakers last night, the Clippers have tied themselves with Golden State for the 8th spot in the Western Conference. That means that the Hornets(37-41) must win their contest tonight as they take on the red-hot Nuggets(42-36). The Nuggets are coming off of a playoff-clinching victory over Utah earlier this week. Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson have been outstanding in their final stretch, and are looking to stay at the sixth seed in the West, in which they'll have to face the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. Tyson Chandler is doubtful for tonight's game as he continues to recover from his toe injury. Season Series: Hornets lead 2-1Key Matchup: Allen Iverson Vs Chris Paul
omg!!! The Hornets are up 35-19 and the first quarter isn't even over!!! this is awsome, and J.R. Smith has just been ejected for some reason. I don't why, I'm watching the Gamecast on ESPN.com

Denver's coming in with a 7-game win streak, and this is the perfect game for them to get complacent. Plus the Hornets are riding the emotion of the crowd since it is their farewell game in OKC... a perfect recipe for a Hornet win.
I completely forgot that this was their final game in OKC. Thank God we're getting a victory. If we make the playoffs it won't be the final game there.
The Nuggets have cut their deficit to one point. 101-100 with 2 min. to go. If the Hornets blow this, I'm gonna be extremely pissed! :wtf1:

The next thing I know, the Nuggets have won another game and the Hornets lost their last one at OKC. The game got close at the end and the Hornets shouldn't have let them get back into it. Very dissapointing loss. Statistically, the Hornets can still make the playoffs, but it looks bleak with 3 road games remaining and being behind by 1.5 games. :no3:
I needed some time to regain my composure. It is possible, but we need the Clips and Warriors to lose a few. I'm going to start on the recap.
Recap: The Hornets allowed their 11-point lead to dissapear as the Nuggets went on a 16-2 run in the fourth quarter. Denver sealed the victory after not allowing the Hornets to get a decent shot up in the final 19 seconds, and won the game 107-105, clinching the sixth seed in the West. New Orleans(37-42) was up 35-19 at one point in the first quarter. Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 31 points and seven rebounds. However, it was Marcus Camby's intensity that sealed the deal in the fourth quarter as he finished the game with 15 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks. David West also had a high-scoring outing with 31 points and 13 rebounds. The Hornets played their final game at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, where they have been playing most of their home games scince Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August of 2005. Commissioner David Stern was on-hand to witness the emotional finale. Unless the Hornets get help with losses for the Clippers and Warriors, there will not be another Hornets game in the Ford Center. New Orleans is currently a game and a half behind the Clippers for the 8th spot.Leaders of the Night:NuggetsC. Anthony- 31pts 7reb 3astA. Iverson- 23pts 7astM. Camby- 15pts 11reb 9blkS. Wonder why they interviewed AI, and Camby all most had a triple double ow well.Great come back by the Nuggets cause we seemed dead pretty much the whole game until the last 6 min of the game really.West was going CRAZY we could not stop him at all like DAMN.
Camby was frickin amazing tonight, basically blocking every shot that came his way in the finaal stretch, but Melo made some pretty important shots torwards the end. He was real intense and he started up their run. I would say Camby was the runner-up. lol
