    I had a roommate that was a Ranger officer and two neighbors that were ex Rangers. They all possessed handguns. None of them had an AR15 similar to an assault rifle.

    I've got a shotgun for hunting fowl which I presume would work well against the 1 in 25 million home invader threatening my life in a home invasion. Actually, I've no need for a firearm to protect myself. Of course, I've chosen to live in a safe neighborhood, which I've been able to do, by working hard in school and working equally hard at my jobs.

    I would say if you don't want your home invaded:

    1. Don't deal in drugs;
    2. When you have the means to possess stuff that others would want to steal, try using that savings to move to a better neighborhood;
    3. If you can't move to a better neighborhood, you better not buy stuff that bad guys would want to steal like guns;
    4. Tell you wife, mother, sister, other female loved one to keep the windows and doors locked at night in the Summer.

    I think he's referring to specialized military personal and not Special Forces.

    That's what victims and cowards do.

    That's what the Jews did when Hitler came for them.

    Better to just kill anyone who invades your home, attempts to harm your family or steal your possessions.

    Then another dozen or so good honest people will also be saved from being victims also.

    Fear is the reason people play the victim, blame their shortcomings on racism, join gangs, spout racial pride, criticize everybody who seems to have a better, more fulfilling life...

    You are the avatar of fear. :cheers:

    Convicted felon shot, killed by homeowner during Tennessee home invasion

    By Nicole Darrah | Fox News

    Terry Adams Jr., 27, was fatally shot by a homeowner in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday night after he allegedly attempted to rob the home. (Metro Nashville Police Department)

    An attempted robbery of a Tennessee home Wednesday night turned deadly when the homeowner fatally shot one of the alleged robbers, who was a convicted felon.

    Terry Adams, Jr., 27, died Wednesday night in Nashville during a home invasion, the Metro Nashville Police Department said in a news release.

    Adams, along with another robber who remains at large, allegedly entered the home of 43-year-old Brent Bishop through a back door and hit his wife in the face.

    Bishop, according to police, saw the rear door was open and went to the kitchen, before then being "struck on the head with a blunt object." The man was ordered to hand over "three long guns and a pistol" from a safe, which the robbers left with.

    Looking for his wife -- who had fled to a neighbor's house -- Bishop got a pistol from another room and went outside to look for her when he once again met Adams and his partner.

    Police said that Bishop fired shots at the two, "fatally wounding Adams." The second robber "dropped the long guns and the pistol that had been taken from the safe and ran away."

    Adams, who's had convictions of auto burglary, attempted burglary, felony theft and aggravated assault, is a suspect in a Feb. 6 burglary at Bishop's home, in which a flat screen TV was stolen.

    The now-deceased robber had been arrested in July 2017 for felony meth possession for resale and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon and was being sought by authorities for two probation violation warrants.

    Bishop was hospitalized with a skull fracture from the incident. The second robber who fled the scene remains at large.

    Please show me where it shows Special Forces training as a requirement. I think they've got their hands full with other duties or so I've been told.

    My roommate told me that Airborne training was a walk in the park compared with Ranger training. He and a couple buddies went through Ranger training before they went through Airborne training and it was so easy that they use to slip out at night to go drinking. So, nope, Airborne training does not qualify as Special Forces training.
