Rapper Romeo gets full basketball scholarship from USC

Is he even going to get minutes though?

While I'm sure he can beat anyone here one on one it still is likely a big reason he got the scholarship is his star status. I mean the dude is only a 2 star recruit and he got an offer to one of the better up and coming basketball schools. Normally 2 star recruits will only get scholarship offers to mid major schools from what I've seen.

 

He probably won't even play anyway. I mean, he'll get some minutes here and there but don't expect hi mto be a star.

 

Yeah, he's supposedly pretty good. Still, though.

 

Its not like hes gonna get minutes, he plays PG and will be backing up OJ Mayo most likely

 

He'll only be backing up OJ Mayo for one year most likely. It's not like Mayo will play all 4 years. Also who knows, OJ might do something stupid again to get himself suspended. However I doubt Romeo will get much playing time when OJ is gone.

 

He averaged 14 and 6 as a junior last year, just so everyone knows. Not a top prospect, but kid has game.

 

14/6 isnt that great..unless he's playing in like the toughest H.S. basketball area in the country...

Uhm.. No, Michael Beasley only averaged 19 a game, so yeah.. He's obviously got game, or he wouldnt have received a scholarship from USC. Every top team gets a couple 2-3 star recruits, no big deal at all.

It depends if you're on a powerhouse school or not, but those numbers definately aren't bad for a junior.

I cam't believe how people seem so petty about this. The guy can't be that bad if USC has given him a free ride for 4 years. I don't care what type of star power he has he has to have some game for that. His dad is a pretty good player so it obviously runs in the family.

Jared Dudley was a 1-star recruit, he went on to be the ACC Player of the Year and a possible 1st round pick in this draft. You never know.

 

He really isn't that bad. I have a friend who's played against him in AAU.And we all KNOW that Master P is going to pay USC.

 

He still looks like he's 12, and I doubt he got THAT much game.
