First of a four game series. Yankees will be fortunate to get at least two of these games into the books. Hopefully, the high April sun will put a stop to this year’s winter weather. Let’s play four!
^^^^ Let's do ~!!~ I've not been to new Yankee stadium. I've seen numerous Yanx social media sites this last week; debating whether the Yanx errored in not putting on a retractable roof. I know it would of cost considerably more; and was even debated by King George. imho- it would of behooved the Yanx to have a retractable roof, especially for these early Opener's. I've got a feeling the years to come will be every bit as extreme, cold and harsh. Ntm- it's my opinion a roof s/b used only during inclimate weather, cold, rain, snow. I'm not even sure if the extra $$$ for a roof would even be cost effective; as attendace would wane for such games; or would it, with public transportation to t/Stadium? a roof would be beneficial this time of year, and throughout the rainy season & post season; but would it ever pay for itself in revenues...? Input anyone? Thoughts?
PS- no Yanx game on Tv in So Cal today. It's a conspiracy to make us buy the MLB Xtra Innings pkg... (sounds like something the dumbfk alex jones might say) ...
I was pissed off enough when they did not tear down and rebuild on site as they did in 74-76. They did what they did and it does look like a great stadium, well christened with a championship in its debut season. Open air for certain, fuck that roof shit, we go to games and take our chances. I've bee to Tropicana and the Astrodome the game does not seem the same. I want to be in the open air eating my dogs, drinking my coke, and watching the game. At night one has the bright lights on the field and the stars in the sky. Purist no doubt, roof on Yankees Stadium sacrilege.
The retractable roof would never pay for itself. The Con Edison bill alone would cripple the project. Fans will still pay no matter what weather. It's like a corporation that doesn't need to listen to its customers and treats them like numbers.
Bulll pen meltdown, in conjunction with poor offense won't win games. Tha Yankees may be on the verge of getting their asses kicked by a team who has lost 5 straight.
Stanton needs to sit on the pines for a while. He is just out of sorts. No matter how good he is...........he needs to think about it on the bench. There seems to be no cure for the “hiccup” relief staff. This group requires more than rest. Most of them need head doctors!LOL
